Kaname continued his efforts, hardly dirtying his hands. He did a combination of pushing them backwards with wind and burning them. There were so many coming at once that he quite literally had to listen to Rise's warnings. In any other fight, he was self-sufficient and completely capable of overcoming an opposing force by himself.

Kaname flung another monster backwards, pulling water left by the previous rainfall from the earth and freezing it so that he could shoot thin ice slivers at them. It was then that he heard something. A voice. What is that? He wondered, his forehead creasing into a frown.

There was a tiny vibration in his pants and he realized that someone was currently dreaming, making a voice post or even a video post. With one hand, he pulled the device from the folds of his pants and focused half of his attention on the announcement being broadcasted. Samus. Kaname's brow rose, and he jumped several yards away as one Noctaere came crashing towards him.

After the warning message to the people of Somarium, he spoke

"Not in the least bit," he answered almost as soon as she had asked the question. "At least from what I have seen in my short time here." Kaname brought a hand up to scratch his jaw in thought. "There have been events... such as visiting the floating castle, but the overlord guards everything well. I wasn't able to find much information from exploring it."

Kaname had gotten the message as well, and he glanced down at it, half listening, half thinking about something. "Well, it looks like I'll be taking a field trip to the desert." His eyes rose to look at the women. "The fun doesn't seem to ever end."

Smiling kindly, Kaname put an arm on her shoulder. "You must be tired after the day you've had. "I can take you back to the Mansion if you would like. It won't do to tire yourself out so soon in a new place." He paused, eyes becoming a bit distant. "... Especially since we don't know what else is in store for us."

He saw her expression when he said the word mansion and shook his head. "Don't get too excited. All of the mansions are very old and it needs a lot of work. I haven't seen it since the storm hit, so I expect it will be in worse shape now." His eyes closed into a smile. "But, I'll make sure you have the most comfortable room that is available."

Seeing that Kaname had Rise taken care of, she decided to bid the pair farewell. It wasn't like she had anything against Rise, really. She just...had nothing to say. What was it like, to be that young and....carefree? She wasn't sure she'd ever known, or maybe she'd just forgotten who knows how many years past. Either way, there was a huge gap in communications, and one she didn't know how to bridge. She saluted the pair almost ironically.

"Since things appear to have calmed down, I'll be on my way. Rise, Kaname. Perhaps I'll see you again."
