During the few seconds it took for Gokudera to shoot out a text to Tsuna, re: his whereabouts, he actually smiled. It wasn't just a cheesy emote he threw in there; it's almost like Gokudera forgot he couldn't be seen over the phone while ( Read more... )

Takeshi hadn't had to ask Dino to clean up, after all. There weren't many costumers at around this time, and besides; he'd made a little extra, just in case there was a straggler. This he stored carefully, wrapped, in the refrigerator. The rest of the ingredients he put away, washing utensils hurriedly but thoroughly, drying off tables and counter tops, sweeping the floor.

If Takeshi was smiling, it had nothing to do with smoke and mirrors. Overlooking the fact that smiling was his default, he felt that Gokudera visiting the onsen to use the hot springs with him was an actual treat. Despite working at the place for a while, and having privileges, he had yet to actually take a dip.

As excited as Takeshi was to test them out, really the prospect that was turning his smile into an all out grin as he did his chores Disney Princess that he is was the fact that Gokudera had been the one to ask. Had done his laundry, had sent him a message, had wanted to go out. It was nice, in a way. And it'd be nice later, when they got to do it all ( ... )

Gokudera frowned. The two minute wait was two minutes too long, his patience being what it is. But he also felt awkward standing outside an unfamiliar place smoking the last of his cigarette - which he snubbed out after he saw that idiot wave.

Contrary to the way he acted around most people that annoyed him, Gokudera has manners, and he wasn't going to head into the onsen trailing smoke. In fact, he will try to be on his best behavior, not only because of first impressions, but because it's where Yamamoto is employed, and Gokudera can appreciate taking the job seriously. In fact, he is convinced he appreciates it even more than Yamamoto, though his official reason for coming is to snoop and see just how the baseball idiot is managing. They hadn't fired him yet; he supposed that was a good sign. He wasn't going to bring shame to the Vongola via his new day job ( ... )

"Yeah, I just finished up." Came the reply, and it's spoken in the cheerful manner of a friendly greeting. Takeshi put his shoulder into the door to open it wider, letting some of that sunlight in, and Gokudera with it. He's still all smiles, all teeth, as the boy approaches-- looking for all the world like he's just tasted something sour.

Belatedly, (because he always forgets he's supposed to apologize to Hayato for things no one else would much mind or lay blame for), he gives a laughing, "Haha, sorry to have kept you waiting!"

Despite the laugh, Takeshi's all sincerity; sincerely glad Hayato decide to come, that work had finished right on time, that he hadn't had to bug Dino, that he got to try out the onsen.

"Glad you found the place okay." Added, as he got close.

Yes, Gokudera is placated by the apology, and thus Yamamoto will be spared being called a bastard for making him wait. Instead, he receives a harmless "tch" and a cutting of Gokudera's eyes, which is too weak to be considered a glare and not quite an eye roll, which is actually a good sign.

Gokudera peered inside, unable to hide his curiosity for all his moodiness. As soon as the sun was out of the way, some of the wrinkling to his brow smoothed out. He looked younger and far less hostile.

"It wasn't that hard to find."
