The broken window was what initially caught his eye. It wasn't Dante's usual nature to get involved in other people's business unless he was getting paid, but you never know when an opportunity might arise. Never knew when there were people looking for revenge or protection of some sort.
The jack of all trades leaned casually on the door frame once he stepped into the shop, his arms folded as he looked at the shop owner. "Completely forgiven, not like you asked to have someone smash your store window in, right?"
The hat he had been previously wearing was not spinning on the tip on his finger.
The first instance, Kazuma had thought it might have been in retaliation for the small dojo that he had established in the back of the store; teaching women's self defense. While he was sure that it had caused a little stir the last two had the true reason clear with the new papers articles that had been wrapped around them. "True, though I suppose it seems some believe it is more effective than the demonstrations that have been held."
More than once Kazuma had been forced to step in when things had gotten out of hand. Still though he had rather enjoyed living in the city prior to the recent shift in mentality. "Is there something that I can help you find?"
Kazuma walked over, picking up a few of the items and placing them on the counter.
"The whole thing's pointless, people should mind their own business." Glancing around, Dante put his hat back on and placed his hands on his hips. "I'm not sure, I guess I was just browsing really." He normally wasn't the type to shop, and he wasn't even sure how much money he was carrying in his pockets right at the moment.
Kazuma had heard this speech several times before by various mafia enforces, all of which offered 'protection' that was little more than a veiled threat. Granted this time it didn't seem to have the overtone of take the offer or we attempt to destroy the shop. So deciding to hear him out Kazuma picked up the last of the items, "Something that you could do for me?"
Well, it wasn't hard to not notice then when she was walking by. Did people do this kind of thing in this town? It didn't seem like a simple accident as if a kid probably threw a base ball through it. A bit different than where she was living a little more close to the country side.
A hand reached down to pick up a few of the scattered items on the floor next to her feet before she gave a shake of her head.
"It's happened a few times now. It seems that some people aren't fond of those who have immigrated here from the east." It seemed especially so that they weren't fond of those who had immigrated from Japan, but then he also had plenty of customers that didn't seem to care at all.
Picking up a few of the items and setting them on the counter Kazuma smiled, "Thank you for helping to pick them up."
