Draco had spotted Sebastian's vaguely familiar self from afar somewhere on a random path of Espoir. It had, naturally, been a bit of a surprise to have spotted him at all, but at least he had the newfound knowledge that he had been right all along. Which meant, of course, that Ciel was wrong.
But really, it was a completely different door opened now that Sebastian was back. After all, Draco had already started work on that Veritaserum.
Dragging himself back to reality, Draco hurried after Sebastian just to the point of falling into step with him casually. As if they actually knew each other better.
Naturally, the unexpected company does not by any means surprise Sebastian, nor break his stride. Well, that's not entirely true. Out of propriety, Sebastian does pause and turn in order to bow formally in greeting, smiling at his guest.
Draco Malfoy, if he recalled, rather keen to make the acquaintance of the earl well before he did. The young master seemed likewise intrigued by the other boy, though he was perhaps not quite his social equal. Still, he carried himself well, he took tea, and he humored Ciel, all of which were points in young Malfoy's favor, if he wished to keep the company of the earl and likewise, his attentive butler.
"I am honored by the personal welcome, Sir. I was just getting back to the manor. It seems I have been remiss in my duties." That would be unforgivable of a butler, had he any control in the matter. But Sebastian doesn't seem terribly devastated by this oversight, or wracked with guilt.
"So you have. You know, I believe you ought to make a point of teaching Ciel of how to dress himself, lest you disappear again," Draco drawled, making note of the way Sebastian was so dedicated yet...not, all at once. The blond made no effort to leave Sebastian's side, nor to say anything more, simply watching the butler's reactions and expressions from the corner of his eye.
Omg, wut a butler in broadday light? 1/???otakufanrengeApril 3 2011, 04:10:17 UTC
So much to do and so little time today.
Renge had been looking for proper material for the Opera house. It had to be nothing but the best, so she had to hit up quite a number of tailor shops. Then there was the task of carrying these heavy rolls of fabric. Then there was something she made for the people helping out. Though, she seemed rather content happily humming a sweet tune and singing in french.
She had to come to an abrupt stop and just about tripped over her feet. The roll of fabric swung around to help keep her balance and hopefully not hit anyone in the process.
Sebastian smiled at both greetings, though his eyes were bright with amusement as Renge nearly lost her footing with shock. My, my. Had it been so long since his last visit? He really couldn't be sure of the lapse of time in between.
"Yes, madam. Only just," the demon-butler replied, bowing formally to the young woman. As he straightened, Sebastian extended gloved hands to Renge, offering to relieve her of some of her burden.
"Allow me." Only just returned to Somarium, and the Phantomhive butler is ready to be of service. It is only right to offer the best hospitality, worthy of the Phantomhive name.
"How wonderful! Ciel should be ecstatic that you're back! He seemed all out of sorts when you departed." Or lost for that matter. Not sure how his young master would have coped if Sebastian was gone for more than a week.
Being offered some relief from the heavy bundle in her hand was a god sent! D8 She's been lugging this around for some time. "Oh, thank you. I didn't realize how heavy a tapestry could be when it's not being hung up~"

"Fancy seeing you back round here, Sebastian."
