"Wow, talk about a storm," Kitchel remarked as she walked into the Tavern, drenched from the rain. She wasn't dressed this sort of weather and she crossed her arms over her chest, looking around for a towel to dry off with. "What's up with that rain, anyway? It's even weirder than the earthquake."
"Yeah, totally. I keep telling you, don't worry about me! I'm a treasure hunter extraordinaire, after all!" Kitchel said as she took the towels from Raven and started to dry herself off. Sure. her cottage was a little (or, really, a lot) roughed up, but wasn't that just the reason she carried anything important with her at all times anyway? Well, that and thieves...
Stumbling through the door came two people and one pig-like creature, all three of them looking drenched to the bone. Minatsuki entered first with Peony behind her; she gasped in sucking breaths of air, blinking wide, red-rimmed eyes around at the inside of the tavern and glad to be out of the rain (though she did feel suddenly quite jolted from their idyllic little time in the teepee). She vaguely noted that people were here, and turned towards Peony.
"We've got company," she announced, looking right into his eyes. "And," she added importantly, "I want some more fucking Apple Jacks."
Peony gave a quick look around the room before handing Minatsuki a soggy box of Apple Jacks. He didn't much mind the other people, especially not since he'd also acquired a huge case of the munchies in the past few minutes; the priority he put on filling his belly with deliciousness prevented him from caring about much else.
"You know what... me too. I'm really feeling the need to devour this flavor. We should definitely sit down, though," Peony remarked as he headed towards a pile of blankets, the bottoms of his pants leaving a trail of water behind as he walked off with Jade.
Minatsuki trailed behind, clinging to the box of Apple Jacks like it was a priceless treasure (XXX DUH, she thought). She tottered over to the blankets and picked one up to wrap it snugly around herself, so that it looked like she was just a blanket-hill with a face peering out of it. "Okay, let's eat some Apple Jacks, and... Y'know what, I, I want some goddamn limeade or some shit like that," she said, nodding repeatedly. "If I don't get some limeade I'll kill someone." She was dead serious about this last part.
Peony wrung out his hair a little and then adopted a similar look with his own blanket. Sighing, he peeled the soggy cardboard off of the plastic bag of cereal trapped within the now sopping, useless box. "Limeade, huh? Well, from the looks of it, we can get some serious drink in here," Peony observed. "Mina man, don't kill anyone, we'll get you some drink." He carefully started opening the bag, making sure not to spill any of the heavenly sustenance on the floor.
Throwing the door to the tavern open, Big Boss quickly stepped into the warm room, dripping black rain all over the floor.
Taking a few more steps in to allow his companions room to join him, he gave his head a little shake, like a canine, throwing water from his hair onto the walls carelessly.
His eye scanning the crowded bar, he nodded to himself. "This looks like a good enough place as any to stop and rest."
Ocelot took a few minutes before he entered after Big Boss, completely soaked. He helped himself to a towel and strolled over to the bar, sitting down with careful stiffness, avoiding too much movement on his ribs.
Once he got settled, he looked around for the barkeeper. "This place isn't too bad... structurally sound and everything," he stated in his usual sultry way.
A sopping wet goat-creature trotted in beside Ocelot; with all of that hair matted with black rain, he looked like quite the skinny animal. Still, the anger and irritation in the animal's eyes as he glared around the tavern should have been enough to intimidate the most skittish, at least. He gracelessly shook off the excess water onto the newly-shaken-off Big Boss.
"BAaA," declared Tetsu as he took a seat by the stool beside Ocelot.
"Hey, Adam, Frank," Tetsu snarled hungrily. "Can I eat the blond one? His blood smells pure enough for the sweetest desserts..."
Frank ignored Tetsu for a change and walked close to Big Boss. He hadn't even bothered to shake the water from his hair; he'd lost his focus when he'd seen how crowded the tavern was. Being around even a few people was usually enough to make the young soldier a little anxious but this was a bar full of mostly confused and frightened people.
He brought a hand up to grip the back of one of Big Boss' suspenders but quickly stopped himself in favour of looking down at Tetsu.
After a few attempts at trying to get the door open, Pikachu managed to grab onto the door knob and had the door slowly open as he was still clinging onto the knob. The yellow pokemon jumped onto the floor and shook the black rain off it's fur before looking around for Ash, Misty or Brock. He frowned sadly as his ears drooped down, he didn't see any of the three. Were they even here?
Pikachu pushed the door closed with it's little paws and stared at the occupants of the tavern. A lot of people were very strange looking and the electric mouse began to feel very uncomfortable.

Raven still hadn't noticed the pokémon until he turned toward the fireplace and jumped back, dropping everything he had as he let out a yell of surprise.
Frank stood outside the tavern, feeling better to be out in the rain again. He moved around to the back of the building, not wanting Big Boss to follow and interrupt him. Standing under the awning, he took out his Dreamberry.
"Huh... it's working now..." he murmured to himself, noticing the screen was on. A small blue envelope flickered on screen, a (2) beneath it. He clicked it, playing the most recent message.
Without even bothering with the next message, he tapped his inner ear to start a new call, tuning to Raiden's frequency.
Raiden was attempting to clean his visor of the grimey rain when he received the new call notice in his earpieces. As soon as he saw who the caller was, he breathed a low sigh of relief and picked up on the second ring.
"We did..." Frank said, keeping himself quiet in case Big Boss was looking for him. He crouched down beside a crate and closed his eyes, still trying to calm himself down. Raiden's voice came almost as a comfort to him.
"I didn't notice my radio was working again, my apologies for not calling sooner."

"...Huh, must be some strong winds," he said before walking around and picking up the wet towels so he could dry them and reuse them.

"I searched the premises awhile ago," said Raiden, firm and businesslike. "There was some evidence of a trail, but the rain washed most of it away."
