"You should not be out alone at the moment, maiden," she said behind the maiden as she just stood in the daylight. She was unaffected by the cold of the season and the sight of the destruction meant little to her. After all, she had seen plenty of castles and kingdoms crumble only to be rebuilt.

Tamina stifled a yelp of surprise to hear the voice behind her. Turning, she couldn't help but stare, for she'd never before seen such a lovely creature. They were supposed to exist only in legends, in tales of days long past.

It took her a moment to untangle her tongue, but in the end, diplomacy saved her. Stubbornly pushing aside the impossibleness of this, Tamina was actually surprised to her herself say, "I needed a breath of air."

She walked up to Tamina and gently nuzzled her cheek, warming her.

"Are you not feeling well."

"Not...necessarily." She wonderingly lifted a hand to touch the creature's snowy neck. "I simply couldn't bear to remain indoors for another moment. I am unused to such inactivity."
