[ And of course Ezio is always on his roof when dumb shit happens, and even when he isn't, he ends up outside pretty fast. ]

[Through gritted teeth.] What the hell kind of place is this? [It sure isn't Ikebukuro. Last he checked, scarecrows were absent from the city, and in the off-chance any would be present, Seiji doubts they'd grab and attack him like these guys did.] Let me go! I need to--

[Then he hears the voice reciting the verse. Boy is sold on "find the answers you seek." Maybe this voice could tell him how to find the way out, because he needs to get back to Ikebukuro. Now. Trusting a disembodied voice is naive, but Seiji is desperate.] You're not keeping me away from her! [He pulls out the scalpel in his pocket and slices at the scarecrows, straw and flannel scattering around him. He looks up, and lo and behold, a beacon! He hacks and slashes a few more times before darting off towards the light.]

[ Izaya is on his way to see Mikado, who had just awakened from his sleep coma. He wanted to be the first to inform him of the new familiar residents of the city -- being first meant he could twist the facts in his favor. When the disembodied voice begins talking, he stops in his tracks and listens quietly, crossing his arms across his chest. ]

Don't forget to use force... [ he repeats, smiling eerily. he knows a few people who would be perfect for the job. one in particular but he'll take what he can get. and what he can get just happens to be in the form of Yagiri Seiji, who he spots dashing in the direction of the glowing light. ]

[ he follows-- running fast enough to keep him in his sights but with no intention of catching up. he's going to watch from close by. watch what happens. his presence now would only divert the boy's attention. ]

[He hears a different voice than the one he intended to follow and looks over his shoulder. He doesn't recognize the man, but right now he'll take whatever advice he gets as long as it'll help him get out of here.] I'll do whatever I have to for her. [He puts on a burst of speed, eyes fixed straight ahead where he saw the light. He's so focused he doesn't realize the man is following a distance behind him.]

[ he's pleased with that answer and follows intent on seeing what happens next. he'll continue to stay silent on the sidelines until he sees some results. ]

[well if that wasn't a rude awakening... Maka still very much looks like she had been suddenly awoken, still pajama clad with some fairly apparent bed-head, although her less than groomed appearance doesn't keep her from immediately grabbing the nearby Dreamberry and lean out the window in her room to get a better look at the surrounding city.]

[he'd been awake because who closes a tavern before midnight? but at the voice and the sudden beam of light, it's amazing he didn't have a heart attack. but after going out and investigating, realization strikes him]

[Judith had been awake to see the flash and heard the voice as well, so when Raven left to investigate, she had abandoned her post as well to follow.

She slides up next to him quietly and hums softly in thought.]
