Aerith was outside of her newly set-up shop, piddling around and organizing the flowers when the beast of a motorcycle rushed through the district. She heard it a block over, but didn't really think much about it at the time. She just kept going about what she was doing, setting up the pots of flowers outside the shop. She didn't think anyone would be rushing by and freezing up the street when they passed.
But they did, and the force of the motorcycle passing by caused a few of the pots to topple over and shatter, sending the poor defenseless flowers onto the sidewalk. Aerith spun around in time to see one of them fall, snapping her head toward the man that had passed,
"Hey, be careful!" She shouted after him, fretting as she knelt down to pick up the flowers from the broken pots. Great, look what you did, Snow.
Whatever the reason, the sound of the crashing flower pots, or the girl's voice carrying after him, Snow was vaguely aware he had messed something up. Wincing, he slammed on the brake of the bike and screeched to a halt, the ice evaporating at his will as he looked back.
"Damn..." he muttered, stepping off the bike and jogging back to the toppled over flower pots and the annoyed looking Aerith along with them. If he didn't fix this, even if he found Serah, she'd scold him for it. Looking down at the mess, he scratched the back of his head. "Sorry about that. Lemme help."
He crouched down to pick up one of the flower pots.
She honestly didn't think he would stop and come back, or even hear her yelling to be careful. So imagine her surprise when he was there picking up the pots for her. Good, he SHOULD be helping. RUDE.
"You should be more careful, those flowers need a home, too." you can't just go around knocking them over, "Why are you in such a rush?" she asked as she moved to get an empty pot so she could put some of the abused plants into that instead, while he picked the broken ones up.
He stacked the broken pots against one arm and then straightened, looking down at her as he did so. He wasn't quite sure where she wanted them, so he kind of just stood there holding them for the time being.
"Sorry..." he said again, not really sure what she meant by 'homes'. They were flowers. "I'm looking for somebody." His search had been useless so far anyways, it wasn't like she was just going to pop up. The look on his face probably showed how he was doing so far.
Lightning was in a slump of her own. She had left to go check up on Snow, despite the fact that she herself didn't exactly want to. He wasn't in, and that was just a tad unnerving. Did he know that Serah was gone? If so, was he out there running amok trying to be a god damn idiot about it? She just didn't know. She was devastated by her sister leaving, but even she had more self-control than that knuckle head. If anything happened to Snow, she'd feel like she let Serah down, and especially now that she was gone that wasn't an option she was wiling to consider.
She was walking down the street, hoping beyond hope that she would run into him on one of his patrols. She stopped dead in her tracks upon hearing the sound of a motorcycle in the distance. It was loud, it was close and it was speeding like no tomorrow. Her eyes widened as the machine, and the rider, came into view.
Snow. That ride looked ungodly familiar, and she jumped out of the intersection as it grew ever closer. She had to stop him, she had to talk to him about his
( ... )
That was one way to slow him down. As the ground in front of him crackled and erupted with electricity, Snow swerved his motorcycle hard and only just managed to keep it from tilting over completely and leaving him a streak on the pavement. The tires squealed and he came to a stop, looking back with a an expression that was probably only seen when Barthandalus was around.
"What the hell, Lightning!?" he yelled, jamming the gear into park and getting off his bike. He was obviously not happy with how she had decided to get his attention, and even less happy that she had interrupted his search.
"You would have been shocked at best," she replied with a roll of her eyes. She stood her ground as he yelled, simply folding her arms over her chest. That look didn't scare her, nothing this man could ever do would. "Stop being so over dramatic."
She won't admit to the fact that the action she just pulled was a bit over dramatic in itself, because it got him to stop and that was all that mattered. She walked closer.
"And besides," she nodded toward the Shiva cycle. "I could ask you the same thing."
"I'm not being over dramatic!" Which was a total lie, he completely was.
He stalked over to her, arms folding as he stopped in front of her. He glanced back at the motorcycle, and shrugged. "I'm not hurting anybody. I'm looking for Serah."
Schrodinger was just taking a brisk walk to nowhere in particular. As he crossed an intersection, his cat ears twitched, picking up something. He stopped in his tracks and he curiously looked to the side of him.In the distance he heard the roar of vehicle, it sounded like it was coming his way. Then within seconds he saw the weird-looking motorcycle speeding up to his path. The Motorcycle missed him by a hair. The cat boy was a bit surprised by how close he was to becoming a red stain on the pavement, and shouted out. "Whoa there. You could run someone over at that speed!"
Snow was just plowing into everyone today, wasn't he? He was trying to stay as close to the middle of the road as he could and not jump the curb, which would result in taking out several pedestrians, but he hadn't taken into account the crosswalks.
When he realized he had just blown past somebody and almost crushed them, he stepped on the break and wheeled the bike around, riding back to make sure the kid was okay. Obviously the person was pissed, since they were shouting.
"Whoa, sorry! You okay, kid?" And of course, as he rolled to a stop he saw the cat ears, which caused the big guy to simply stare at the person he had almost flattened.
No, Schrodinger wasn't pissed. Just a bit startled. He hadn't expected the rider to stop and actually apologize though. He turned to Snow and realized that the other was staring. A reaction he got a lot. It was the ears, always the ears. Schrodinger smiled. "I'm okay. But I was this close to being a pancake."
The catboy placed his hands on hips, his grin stretching to the corners of his face."If you're going to stare, I mind as well know where's the fire you're racing to?"
Snow pursed his lips, giving the kid another once over. At least he wasn't mad, that was a relief. "Yeah, again, sorry." He forced himself to look away from the ears, he knew it was rude, even through his thick head.
"I'm just looking for someone. A girl named Serah, you know her?"
She was just out walking because she figured it would be better to leave the two of them alone. That and she would rather not stick around in case things went badly. Of course she did consider that perhaps that was a good enough reason to stay, but she needed to stretch her legs. Maybe head out to the lake and do some practicing of her ow--
"Whoa!" she yelled out as Snow flew by her. Fortunately he hadn't run her over, but she was just about to cross the street and it was only a miracle she had jumped back just in time.
"...Guess he knows," she mused aloud as she looked after him, the icy road well deserving of an eyebrow raise.
As he flew past her, he knew he had passed somebody familiar. Even with his one track mind he was able to slow enough to glance back, and see Fang standing on the side of the road. Maybe, just maybe she had seen Serah. He turned the handles and wheeled around, driving back towards her at a far slower speed.
"Fang! Have you seen Serah?" Stupid question, but he had to know.
Fang was still curious as to how Snow had his Eidolon while she and Lightning didn't, but that was a question for another time. She could only give a small sigh and a shake of the head at Snow's inquiry.
"'Fraid not." Well, no use in sugarcoating it. "She's gone, Snow."
"I have to be sure. Nothing's certain." For once, he's not wearing his bandanna, so he runs fingers through his hair in an effort to calm down just a little. It didn't help.
"I'm going to keep looking. Tell me if you see her."
Seeing as this world was bigger than what the Tomb Raider had anticipated, she had searched for a nice way of transportation. Thankfully, she had found a nice gray Ducati bike that seemed to be begging to be driven. Of course, Lara had to give in its need and she had jacked the bike in a matter of seconds. Oops. Sorry to the rightful owner.
She was currently trying it out when she heard the motor of another bike catching fast to her. The woman couldn't help herself and chuckle as the other rider passed her by. Opening the bike to full throttle, she grinned as she tried to catch up with the other bike.
He kept driving a few moments longer before he realized somebody was on his tail. He blinked, looking back and seeing the woman on the gray bike behind him. What was she doing? It wasn't any of his concern, and he was hardly looking to find out who she was at the moment.
Snow stepped down harder on the gas, lifting one hand in a good bye wave to his pursuer before turning a corner.
