[It had seemed like a sensible idea at the time, climbing the tree so as to study closer the leaves that were just out of his reach. And the results were satisfactory, indeed.

[Logically, yes. And of course, it hits someone on the way down, though the exclamation of shock surprises Canas, and he flails a bit more before managing to regain his balance.]

[And a slight breeze, which does little more than rattle the leaves, but he grasps for another branch anyway.

He is not well-suited to climbing trees, no.]

[Rena was walking through Espoir, minding her own business, when the sky started raining notebooks and pens.

Well, not really, but that's what she saw fall before her. She jumps back, startled and then looks up to see Canas sitting in a tree]

W-were those things yours that just fell?

[He looks down, only to clutch at a branch. When did he get so high up in the pursuit of knowledge?]

Well, I was simply attempting to better study the leaves on this type of tree, but--

I am afraid I simply did not notice how high it was that I have climbed.

[Magnus heard the noise and glanced up in irritation, squinting. The sun is a bother. He doesn't have problems with his eyesight]

[A pause, as he clutches at a branch.]

{Another exasperated sigh. He's not psychic, but Magnus is pretty sure he can see where this is going, and how it's going to turn out}

Do you need help? {The offer is reluctant and monotone, but still an offer}

[looks up; well, that explained the suddenly falling notebook, although she looks a little surprised to see him up there]

[she bends down to pick up the notebook and pen nearby it]

I take it these are yours?

[The falling notebook from above takes Flynn by surprise. Honestly not what you expect to see falling from the sky. Looking up into the tree he spots the man.]

You should keep a better grib on your property. You could've seriously injured someone!
