Who: Sync and Asch Where: Espoir Style: Third Status: Open but WATCH OUT, as Asch and Sync are probably going to be in the process of blowing each other up 8| Just sayin'.
As it so happened, Asch was heading out early that morning as well, mentally drained and feeling a bit defeated after his conversation with Natalia. He... still loved her, very much, and despite everything that had happened on Somarium and Auldrant. Any kind of rejection from her... really hurt.
...and then there was the dream she had, and the resulting conversation from that, but he had rather not think about that, least he get the urge to go strangle a certain emperor instead of going to wake up Raven for a much needed drink.
He took the short path through Espoir square... totally missing the sight of Sync stalking around in a similar foul mood...
Sync heard the sound of footsteps and glanced in their direction on impulse. Oh, just some idiot walking around in the square. He looked away again...but did a double-take once it caught on that he actually knew that idiot walking around in the square.
He stopped walking and turned towards Asch, who either hadn't yet noticed him there or was just ignoring him. Probably the former. Sync toyed with the idea of just waiting to see how long it would take him to notice, but decided better of it. If he said something, Asch wouldn't be able to pretend.
Asch froze solid in mid-step at the familiar voice, part of him wanting to pretend that he had been hearing things. Would Sync really be so stupid as to try and get his attention? He had to have known he wouldn't be too happy with him after what he told Lelouch (never mind he wasn't too happy with him either at the moment).
Slowly, he turned, his eyes narrowing at the familiar bird beak-shaped mask, his hand falling down to the Key of Lorelei at his side. Apparently, the young replica was that stupid.
Sync stayed right where he was. Getting any closer right now would be absolute suicide.
Judging by his reaction, Sync wondered if that Lelouch vi Britannia person had already contacted Asch about what they'd talked about over the Dreamberries. He could just as easily be easy to annoy, but it seemed more likely that they had with a reaction like that.
Well, he wasn't going to bring that up if Asch wasn't.

"Asch!" he shouted after him.

"Sync," he snarled, his voice entirely unkind.

"What a surprise, seeing you out in public!"
