[Dastan was cleaning his leather armor when he hears the knock on his door. Very few people knows where he leaves and curious as to whom could visit him, he jumps to his feet to open the door. The lack of visual at the Prince's eye level makes him looking and he instantly recognizes the blond flock of hair. He smiles brightly]

[She curtsies in greeting and smiles brightly.] Hello Prince Dastan! I brought you something! [She hands him a flower from the stem.]

[Dastan kneels down on one knee to be at Alice's level and takes the flower gently from her small hand]

Oh, thank you Princess! But it is more customary for me to bring you presents, not the other way around.

[His eyes soften slightly as he catches sight of her bandaged hand]

[He's not going to comment on the implications of giving flowers to a florist; he's amused. It's a shame Ken's in a sleep coma right now, he'd have been happy to see Alice.]

[...Youji is no stranger to injuries--he's been shot, stabbed, throttled, thrown into walls, and had bones snapped by a god-clone who only had to look at him funny. He's been attacked by everything from swords to violins.

He's also no stranger to what people can do to each other. He's seen children injured and murdered. He's seen women hacked into pieces, both pre- and postmortem.

So the injury itself, what looks just like a hand in a bandage, doesn't faze him. But the fact that it was done to Alice, who expects him to be her Knight, bothers him deeply--and there it was, another failure to protect someone.

But Youji doesn't fuss, he just kneels to take the hand as well as the flower, and affects a slight look of surprise as he looks at her.]

Do you want to come in for a moment, and have something to drink? You can tell me what delphiniums mean, I'm sure I've forgotten.

[And holding something cold might help any lingering pain in the hand. He doesn't know how old the injury is, nor what kind, but it's worth a shot.]
