And the puppy barrels right into this man's legs, who was currently in the process of panicking very hard.

Loki'd woken up at the stroke of midnight, cold sweat trickling down his back - and that had never happened before. Gods don't sweat unless they want to feel particularly human - and there was the problem. He was human right now.

He crouched down and picked up the puppy, holding it up. "Hey there, little guy. Don't mind me."

D spotted Loki holding Lefty, who was squirming around in his arms, barking up a storm. The former dhampir slowed his jog down to a brisk walk, heading towards the other man.

"Sorry." D's lavender eyes glanced over at Lefty, who continued to howl in Loki's arms. He supposed no matter what form the demon took, he would always be noisy. His blue medallion gave a faint gleam as he paused a few feet in front of Loki.

He remembered this guy - he'd called him out for calling humans 'dinky' - and Loki's lips thinned into a line. Dangerous? Maybe. He kept his cool, though, trying to calm down the dog.

"It's okay," he grinned. "I like dogs." Unless it wasn't really a dog. If it wasn't, it belonged in Somarium's weirdest day yet.

"Hm." Yes. Dogs. Right. D looked down at Lefty, reaching out and taking the puppy in his hands. He remember this man. he had commented on a few of his posts here in Somarium. He had spoken with him about humans.

So D just gave him a stare, calculating. He finally looked down at Lefty, who was panting up at him in his new form. he would have to find a store to feed him, wouldn't he? It wasn't like D just had dog food lying about. Would Lefty even eat dog food?

"He's talkative." Unlike him.

Yuuki was standing around on the job, dazed, confused, and very upset.

Nothing was right. Even though she'd only just arrived, she was pretty good with names and faces - holding onto what memories she still possessed, and so when these people did not know her, or seemed totally different, or couldn't recall specific event she clearly remembered, it made her question her mind again.

Not only did she fail to remember half her life. Now Yuuki was doubting the rest.

Was she dreaming? Really dreaming this time? That might make it OK. Maybe. If she could just wake up.

Startled from her abstraction by the appearance of the dog, Yuuki gasped, holding her staff out defensively in front of her - not sure if it was rabid or not.

The puppy derped around at bit, however, it was Lefty, after all. And Lefty could never be unkind to a pretty face. The Rottweiler puppy slowed down to a halt, sniffing and looking up at Yuuki with cute puppy dog eyes, attempting to woo the young woman with his new-found adorableness.

Evil little thing.

The now human headed up to Yuuki, however, he slowed down considerably upon seeing her. But, his enhanced senses were gone, so her smell did not affect nor frighten him. But her sight...

"...Yuuki."

Yuuki stood her ground, and when the dog stopped short and merely gave her an once over, she exhaled with relief, the grip on her staff slackening a little bit.

Taking her attention away from the dog, she glanced up at the advancing man, wondering if D would be another newly-introduced face that would claim not to have met her at all.

And then he said her name.

Yuuki's eyes went wide, then there were happy tears in her eyes. Maybe she wasn't going insane after all.

"D-san," she breathed, and probably would have leaned into him with the weight of her gratitude if not for the dog and her weapon and the obvious space between them.

"...you know who I am?"

D gave the young woman a look.

"...Yes. We met not too long ago." He looked down, moving more towards her. This time, he was in normal clothes (although dated, back to an era that was perhaps around the Victorian era). The large man bent down, picking up the puppy, who whimpered loudly squirming its little legs in Yuuki's direction.

"...Are you all right?"

Barking...that barking. It was so loud. The temporarily former-vampire already had problems falling asleep at night for some reason, this wasn't helping. Sometimes he would just lay there awake for a while then have to busy himself with something mundane to put him to sleep. It was a strange condition he's had since he was a child. Valjean's family doctor, Hatori, called it "insomnia".

He got out of his bed, changed into some outside wear and quietly went down to take care of the barking problem. Either shushing it or taking it back to its owner. As long as he could get some quiet, he would be fine.

Once the blond Valjean made it outside, he followed the sound of the yipping and came upon a cute, little rotti puppy. He looked down at the puppy, kneeling down to its level.

"Now you should be quiet. There are people trying to sleep, puppy"

The puppy seemed to grow even more excited at seeing him. His silver tags gave a faint jingle, and the little mutt gave him a happy yip, going right over to him and nuzzling happily into his hand, licking it a few times. And then, the little puppy rested his paws on Ichijou's knee, licking his cheek.

D rounded the house, and finally saw Lefty rolling about--right at Takuma. The former dhampir shook his head, his mood becoming less worried and more amused than anything. His face only held the slightest hint of it, however, and the exceptionally tall, handsome man moved towards the blond.

"Levitan. Come here."

Takuma chuckled as the puppy showed him friendly affection, licking his cheek and nuzzling him. "You're a friendly puppy, aren't you?", he said with a chuckle.

He then looked up when he saw the tall, gorgeous man come into sight and call out the puppy's name.

The blond ruffled Lefty-puppy's head then nudged him. "Go on, Levitan. Go to your owner", he said gently.

The schoolboy stood up and looked over at D, smiling at him. "He's certainly a loud one", he laughed.

"I'm sorry," D stated, leaning down and picking the puppy up. He held the little Rottweiler in his hands, giving Lefty a look. The evil beast scrambled his legs wildly in Takuma's direction, D giving him a flat look as he stood there in his well-tailored brown trousers, billowing shirt and leather suspenders that crossed at his back.

The sable-haired beauty looked towards Takuma, blinking with long lashes slowly at him.

"...Out for a walk?"
