Luc was walking back to the lighthouse, when he noticed someone sitting by the lake. He was fine, with his wind keeping him cool, and he assumed the water was staying cool, but the fact that people were willing to go outside in this horrendous heat was beyond him.
Normally, he would have continued on, but it was getting to be a pain in the neck to clear the door to the lighthouse (idly, he wondered if he could summon a wind strong enough to lift him to the top floor, and enter through the lantern room, but decided it was too much effort). Plus, he was bored. So he walked toward the girl.
Sera nearly yelped, her head whipping to look at the boy approaching her... She definitely didn't know this person. Had he said something before that Sera hadn't heard.
Well, she WAS completely covered, since she was still wearing her Embryon uniform. Now that he mentioned it, she was kind of hot, but she was distracted enough not to think about it too much.
[Lately, the only bright spot for Argilla is that things have been consistent; Sera and Jinana have stayed in the same spot for days now, always asleep. But at least they're both still there, and breathing, instead of disappearing or going still. It's not much, but she still hangs onto it, and always keeps one eye on them to see if one of them stirs.
When she wakes up, and realizes that Sera's resting place is suddenly empty, the force of the change hits her full in the chest. Jinana is still there, at least, and Argilla checks her over once before forcing herself to step outside the door. She needs to figure out if another one of the Tribe is gone, or if Sera has woken up.
It's hard going, emotionally, and all these…plants aren't making it any easier, physically. Something has closed around her chest, making it hard to breathe, and her pulse pound. She has to figure out where,
Where-She breaks out of one clump of trees, and finds herself facing something that feels strangely familiar. There's clear, blue water glinting in

[Sera was still looking out to the lake, hypnotized by the brightness and color of the sight. The overgrown plants around the edges of the lake were, admittedly, sort of strange, but Sera wasn't sure how uncommon that was supposed to be. Seeing something so beautiful and feeling the cool breeze was very peaceful.
It wasn't until she heard someone coming up close by that she finally looked away. She blinked for a second, before smiling and waving.]
[That cuts through all her thoughts, and whatever caused that sight to hold her in place. Argilla turns around, her eyes starting to scan the area for anything that looks remotely like-]
"Sera!"
[Here, Sera. Have a much taller Embryon soldier running straight at you, and only pulling up just short of colliding with you. The second she's close enough, her hands go to Sera's shoulders to make sure that, yes, she is here.]
[She smiles somewhat more awkwardly, but it's nice to know Argilla is excited to see her. This was odd, it was like Argilla was worried about her... Was it because she left the base? Maybe she wasn't supposed to! What if she scared Argilla?]
[And here Sera was, minding her own business, looking out at the beautiful lake, without a care in the world... Nope. Nothing was gonna surprise her this time at all, right? Nothing was gonna jump out and--- WHUMPH!
Sera let out a squeak of shock before she realized that she was now on the ground with a huge dog licking at her face. When the initial fear died down (quickly), Sera was giggling, and half-heartedly trying to gently push Noireau off]
Harley stepped out of the trees about half a minute later, looking around confusedly. He could've sworn that Noireau had gone after the stick, but he didn't see any sign of either it or the dog, and--
Oh. Oh, there she was! And that was most certainly not the stick he'd thrown, it was Sera.
Harley shook his head and jogged over to meet them.
"Jeez... this makes twice now, doesn't it? Noireau, you need to learn to behave yourself!" He reached down and grabbed the dog's collar, tugging her off of the girl. Noireau sat down in the grass beside her, mouth open, grinning widely with her tongue hanging out, apparently quite proud of the tongue-bath greeting she'd delivered.

"Why?" he asked her.
