[Haruhi is standing on the fountain, her hands on her hips, beaming like there's no tomorrow.  She takes a deep breath, enjoying the moment before calling out

[Alec had NO INTENTION of going to this crazy mundane meeting or whatever the hell that weird, crazy chick had been rambling on about. So, imagine his surprise when he stumbles on the very place they're meeting during one of his midday walks. He stops, stares - his jaw drops open a little - clearly makes eye contact with Haruhi - which is a total mistake - and starts to turn around to go in the opposite direction, hoping that maybe just maaaaaaybe, she didn't see him.]

[he was just walking past when he saw the gathering. it wasn't everyday that he saw big meetings like this, so he stopped and looked, wondering what was going on, his tail swaying idly as he did]

[As canon dictates, Kyon is late as per usual. Being asleep for 2 weeks does wonders to your reaction time so he kinda moved slower than usual while getting ready for this meeting.]
