Haku rushed past everything, his quick eyes moving across everything, his hands always at his senbon holsters. As soon as he had heard about the monsters, he had taken to the streets; someone was bound to be in trouble, and he was willing to help anyone who needed it.
Like the wolf (or dog? He couldn't tell correctly from this distance) that was surrounded by monsters. It may have been just a canine, but it was in trouble, and he was willing to give it.
Moving forwards quickly, his hands grasped eight senbon in his hands. With a battle cry, he hurled all eight at some of the monsters. The odd, inhuman yells as the needles sank into their flesh told him they were injured. And going to pay attention to him now. He glanced over them, one hand at his weapon holsters and the other moving over his face, brushing the bangs out of his eyes. Let them come. He was ready for them.
It was a surprise. Though he had sensed another person, he didn't think they'd stop to help. Nor did he think that sharp metal needles will shower down on the monsters.
He quickly jumped to where the stranger stood, stared at him for a brief second, and turned his full attention to the monsters as well. He had a good feeling that he could handle the monsters with another person fighting alongside him.
Might as well, thank him in his human form. "T-thanks!"
Well, that was unexpected. He hadn't expected the wolf to...transform into a person. For a moment, he glanced at the boy in surprise. Then, his face smoothed into an expression that was a mixture of respect, kindness, and steel.
"My pleasure." he said, his eyes moving quickly to the monsters that were now glaring at them both. "But I would suggest we save the pleasantries for later. We have to deal with these things first."
He sighed quietly at the thought of fighting, even though he knew it had to be done. With a small noise of metal being drawn, Haku clutched a senbon in each hand and took up a fighting position.
"You ready?" he asked the boy, holding the senbon tightly in his hands. From the looks of those monsters, they weren't going to stand around for much longer. He mentally readied himself.
