[Hello, sparkling vampire~. Meet a tad less sparkly prophet.]

Do you need help, mon ami? That's a lot to carry for someone as... [He stops, looking curiously at the vampire. He can't help but notice the luminosity of Edward's appearance. It's strange, but he can't put his finger on it.]... young as yourself~.

[puts the piano down]

I do appreciate the offer, but this piano weighs very little so it's no trouble for me to carry it.

[smiles]

I see, mon ami. Is this an instrument you play? [He looks at the piano, he hasn't something like that in ages.]

Ah, but I should introduce myself first, qui? Bonjour, I am Tao Master Waka.

Yes, it is. I've played piano for... almost a century now, I guess you could say.

I'm Edward Cullen.

... Tao Master? Is that your status in your world?

[Ema, being out and about continuing her investigation of this dream world, stops in the middle of investigating when she notices Edward carrying a piano and... sparkling? Well, she supposed, the sparkling could be caused by sweat catching the sunlight but... sparkling to that extent? Ema quickly whips out her notepad and jots down a few nonsensical notes about her observations before speaking to the strange sparkly man.]

Um... isn't that heavy? Scientifically speaking, though a piano could probably float, it is probably heavier than you are.

[surprised at the questioning from this young girl]

[puts the piano down and looks at her]

Actually, it's quite light. Though, to be honest, I've never seen or heard of a floating piano before. How do you suppose they'd float... scientifically, I mean.

Well, if the piano is made of wood, if you toss it in a lake or similar body of water, it might float.

I see. I thought you meant floating in mid-air.

I can assure you this piano isn't made of wood, though, Miss.

Haku strolled through Espoir, enjoying the sun. Although he was genuinely content, he was also somewhat expectant. It seemed like all his daily walks led him to meet someone new.

Like the young man who walked down the path, sparkling like a multi-faceted jewel and seemingly effortlessly carrying a piano.

The piano wasn't that much of a surprise; he'd seen people carry unbelievable weights before. It was the unnatural sparkling that led him to start walking much slower then before, curiously examining the young man.

i wasn't sure if haku was wearing his mask... i'll change it if it's wrong goldeyedmonster June 4 2009, 00:51:21 UTC
Edward had gotten used to his real nature in this strange world. But, he supposed the one thing he would never get used to was the way his skin sparkled in the sunlight. And it seemed, from the strange looks he was receiving as he carried the piano out of Espoir towards Somni, that the other citizens weren't used to his skin either.

It was actually slightly amusing, considering the piano was larger than him. More people were curious over his skin instead of his strength.

Like the person ahead who was now openly staring at him. But this person's face was... unusual. Was that a mask?

Edward stopped, putting the piano down in front of him.

"Hello," he said. "Enjoying your walk, sir?"

He's not. precious_person June 4 2009, 17:48:54 UTC
Haku smiled at the young man kindly. "Actually, yes."

His eyes moved to the young man's hand, which was sparkling just as brightly as the rest of him. "If you don't mind me asking, why does your skin do that? I've never seen anyone...glitter before."

Okay, we'll just ignore that line (not sure if I can change it...) ^^;;; goldeyedmonster June 5 2009, 00:40:49 UTC
Edward suppressed a grimace. He hated the way his skin reacted to the sunlight, but had gotten used to it over the years. One thing he would never get used to, though, was the way in which people referred to what his skin did.

"Glitter", for instance, while an accurate description of his skin's condition, only reminded him of the stuff girls seemed to put all over their skin.

Edward studied the person before him, attempting to get a read on the young man. "Well, it's my skin's normal reaction to the sunlight due to what I am."

[For once, Regene actually has nothing to say. But boy, are you fabulous.]

Well, that's something else I can add to the list of 'things I never thought I wanted to see but somehow found anyway.'

You're... Regene? Aren't you?

[Has to do a double take to make sure she saw that right. Piano. Really big piano. Being carried by one man.
....and are those sparkles?]

R-right, sorry. [moves out of the way a little]

Um...if you don't mind me asking...how do you get your skin to do that I wonder, I wonder?

No need to apologize, Miss.

[smiles and puts the piano down and to the side, leaning over it to look at her]

This is my skin's natural reaction to direct sunlight. It's a standard condition for my kind... at least, where I come from.
