The first thing Dojima spotted as he arrived at the scene was his ex-partner hurling. Well, that certainly leaves an impression. Despite them not getting along, Dojima knew when there were emergencies where grudges had to be set aside.

"Adachi, what's going--"

The second thing he registered was the blood and that awful smell. A hand flew to his mouth instantly, gritting his teeth to keep from gagging.

"What the hell?!"

It was actually one of the first things Dojima noticed, but he doesn't say anything about it. Not the time.

He walked past Adachi, scoping out the scene as he walked up to the door, motioning the other man along. Walk and talk; waste no time. Workaholic mode, here.

"Where are they now?"

Raiden had just finished buckling his gear back around his waist when Snake rushed in. The cyborg ninja knew from the expression on the legendary soldier's face that he had heard the news from Naomi. He exhaled, low and soft, and began to head out toward the village. He knew there was no time to waste.

"Snake," stated Raiden, low-voiced, all business. "Did you see the transmission?"

Raiden shook his head No, a firm, crisp movement.

"Check your messages," he said. "If you don't have it, I've got it saved."

His visor slid shut over his face, and he crouched down in preparation for a jump. Predictably, he let Snake keep to the ground; the rooftops were always the faster method for Raiden. He paused just before lifting off.

"There's five of them," he informed. "Look out for a small band. Trust your senses, Snake. Sight will be enough; their hair colors will stand out."

And with that, he made his leap.

Treize Khushrenada had the uncanny ability to move very quickly and yet somehow still seem dignified about it - even if he was carrying a weapon. As he was, in this case. While the man preferred to engage foes in honorable melee combat, Treize was also a pragmatist, and Mobile Suit combat was very different from foot combat.

Hence the shotgun.

He could smell the acrid stench of something on the air as he approached Naomi Hunter's laboratory, slowing to a walk - though he made no effort to hide out of sight.

Suzaku arrived a few minutes after Treize, armed with both a sword and a pistol. Despite having given up his position as a knight after his conversation with Cornelia, the Honorary Britannian had decided to come in his military uniform, for the sake of formality.

"My Lord," he greeted with a bow.

Treize gave a curt nod but said nothing else, inclining his head in the direction of the laboratory. "Keep your guard up. They may still be nearby," he said in a quieter voice than he usually used, brushing a gloved finger over the shotgun's safety.

The former knight turned his back to the colonel and took a quick look at their surrounding area - it was... horrible. It reminded him far too much of that day. He was admittedly relieved that Euphie would never have to lay eyes on such an atrocity.

"Sir, what could have done this...?" he inquired, resting a hand on the hilt of his sheathed blade.

Haku had heard the message. That was more than enough to get him moving to Naomi's house. He'd never met the woman and didn't know where she lived, but after asking around, he'd managed to find out.

The first things he noticed were the...remains. A normal person would have vomited promptly, but Haku was a very strong boy- he simply paled, flinched, and looked away.

His sharp eyes darted around the cottage. He couldn't feel any malignant energy, but who knew what these...he hesitated to call them people... were capable of? His hands snaked to his weapon holsters. They looked relatively human- if he aimed well, (and he usually did) they'd be down and out.

His hands still ready to throw his senbon, he crossed to the door. He rapped quietly on it. "Miss Hunter?" he called quietly. "I'm not one of those...people. I'm here to help you."

Naomi hesitated. It wouldn't have surprised her if the ones who had killed Vamp were trying to trick her into letting them inside.

"Please step away from the door and I will open it."

Haku nodded. "Of course."

He stepped away, and turned away from the house, his eyes scanning for them. There didn't seem to be anyone there, but...

His hands snaked again into his weapon holsters, his fingers tightening on the senbon.

Pushing the door open slightly, the doctor peeked out at Haku before opening the door further. This was not one of the cannibals.

"H-Hello...Who are you?"
