... Demon Lord? Frederic could see the man's pointed ears, but he highly doubted that.

"Pardon me, but... As far as I have been told, I believe that the Overlord is apparently the person who is having this dream. If that is correct, then I'm not sure that the Overlord of this world is the sort you are thinking of. I believe you are describing an "Overlord" in the royal sense of the word, am I correct?"

[Well, this man was certainly polite - a positive trait in any potential vassal. His words, on the other hand, made little sense at all.]

An Overlord is one who rules a given Netherworld. Is there any other kind?

[And what did he mean, 'having this dream'?]

"A Netherworld?" He said, looking confused. That word usually referred to the afterlife. While Frederic had certainly considered the possibility of this world being the land of the dead, but he had already met many people who came here without dying. "Somarium is supposed to be a dream world, isn't it?"

[There appeared to be some confusion, which would not do at all. It detracted from the whole point of his speech. Best to clear this up quickly and move on.]

Your pardon...I am in the habit of refering to other worlds as Netherworlds, as that is the style of my own place of origin. Shall we say then that I mean Overlord as one who rules the world they inhabit?

Indeed - it's a shame that up until now it does not seem to have attracted anyone with true leadership qualities.

Or perhaps those with said leadership abilities are finding those skills are best applied in other means. This world has a leader, after all, and I've found her to be quite....capable.

*She answers his bow with a polite nod* Where I come from, demons are rarely pleasant to interact with.

[Frowns slightly, then shrugs.] I am afraid I have not heard of this 'Twisting Nether.' The Netherworld, or rather a Netherworld, is a world that demons call home.

[He smiles at her, attempting to turn up the charm.] While it may be true that demons are in general rather unpleasant, I assure you I am a truly noble example.

But without someone who can lead the people to their true potential, to guide and protect them, who knows what could happen to this place? A true leader is someone who could perform this role. Luckily, I have all the qualities required of such a leader!
