Danny's standing off to one side, having somehow been at the right (?) place and time to hear the whole thing.

He thinks about the call-to-arms for a moment, folding his arms. Hmm, should he really join forces with an egotistical, annoying wierdo from some random world against the powerful, ghostly Overlord of Somarium?

There's no question at all, really. "Pass!"

Danny waits a moment, as though expecting the man to continue. After all, it can't be that simple, can it? There's got to be a catch; there always is.

"Are you going to hurt the current Overlord?" he asks suspiciously.

I would prefer to avoid it if at all possible. If it comes down to it, a battle is the traditional way to settle such claims - of course, this would be one on one. No vassals would be involved.

Danny unfolds and refolds his arms. He knows that a catch has got to be there, but he still hasn't found it yet. Of course, it's possible that Vyers doesn't have any tricks lying in wait for him. That could be just his paranoia, right? Nah, his paranoia's usually been right in the past. Why would it fail him now?

"Can I, uh, take a rain-check in this whole 'support-giving' thing? I kind of have to go do something. Somewhere else. Now. Ish." When in doubt, avoid answering!

[Vyers couldn't help a slight mental sigh. Danny was clearly in no mood to give any agreement at the present time. The demon lord would have to settle for at least planting the seeds of his opinions for now.]
