[ It's probably bad luck that Harry happens to be here as well. It's a bit more reminiscent than anything, but getting out of the cottage is better than staying there and mourning over Sirius' things. Still it comes as a shock to Harry that he manages to skate just a bit too close to a certain blond haired wizard. ]

[ Harry's sentiments exactly. He turns, nearly falling off his skates as Draco pulls him, so to compensate his arms go up and take a hold of Draco's jacket. This of course only helps pull him closer into the kiss.

[ It's very much like how it used to be. He closes his yes and lets himself, if only for a moment to get lost in the kiss, to remember how things were before things went bad. He presses back into the kiss, not sure if it's the mistletoe or his own want that's controlling his actions. ]

[it's probably the want that makes this all that much worse. As, of course, proven by their first kiss under mistletoe around this time.

[As if mocking them, the mistletoe is gone almost as soon as it drew them in and got what it wanted out of them; with both of their eyes shut, both almost hanging onto each other for purchase, it was easy enough to miss. But after a long moment of having Harry far too close for any sort of comfort, Draco does manage to shove him away, though not so hard that Harry would fall. After all, Draco doesn't mean him any harm.]

[ Harry slides back on the ice as he's pushed away from Draco. He stumbles a bit but ultimately keeps his foothold on the ice. He stares at Draco, not sure what to do or say at this point.

[ It hurts knowing that what he had just done was something they couldn't have again. Harry's sure of it. ]

[that's clearly the reason why Draco does have the dignity to look oddly pained when he does shove Harry away. He does wish things didn't have to be this way. Or at least, that they could have parted on better terms.]

I should go.

[and if it weren't for the skates, he'd be leaving a helluva lot faster. But he does manage to turn on his heel, already heading away before Harry can even say a word.]

[ Parting on better terms would have been far preferable. At least then Draco's parents wouldn't really want to kill him despite the fact that his son was obviously back here and in one piece again. ]

Yeah...

[ He wants to say something, anything to make Draco stop and understand that he still cared, but what good would that do? He turns himself and skates off in the opposite direction. ]

[he so wants Harry to stop him and say something. But he knows it isn't going to happen. And even if it does, that things won't be the same. Certainly, the kisses are the same, but a purely physical relationship isn't healthy; the fact remains that he doesn't know if he can trust Harry, no matter how much he cares for the other wizard.

[And it's that that sent him in the other direction right then, back to the bench where he had sat before to hope that things got better and soon.]
