Tracking the Statue avis_immortalis November 18 2011, 20:41:35 UTC
[ This post can be hit up by anyone who wants to join in on tracking the statue's location! Gwendolyn is going to be keeping tabs on it by flying after and tracking its course via Dreamberry... so! Anyone who reads this post can assume any information in it is public knowledge if sent out through the Dreamberry. ]

[ Also, Cid, she will also be letting you know what's going on if you're still going all aerial attack on it. ]

[ Oh! Time to move! ]

Split up! [ And Gwendolyn crouched down, before shooting up into the air, a flurry of feathers following after, dissipating into the air like mist. ]

[he didn't need to be told twice. as she went in one direction, he went in another, diving lower toward the base. not that he would be able to do much except perhaps distract it should the need arise.

but even so, he tried to see if there was any possible way to defeat this giant statue. obviously its blades were one of its main weapons, but what else? and was there possibly a way to stop or jam them...?]

[ Gwendolyn was contemplating the same thing as she soaring up into the air above the monster. Its blades were really what needed to go down, but she couldn't think of any way to stop them. Well, there was always jamming them, but, she had nothing in her arsenal for which to do so with. At least, not that she could think of right away. Dammit if only she could have made some Napalm or something before this. ]

[ "What do we do?" Gwendolyn looked around at all the destruction the statue had caused. Finally, an idea struck her, and she shouted down to Tybalt. ]

Sir Tybalt! [ The Princess shouted down to him. Her voice carried strongly over all the noise the statue was causing, but she was used to calling out orders over a noisy battlefield. ] Put a good distance inbetween you and the monster!

[he glanced over at her when he heard her voice and gave a nod before doing just as she commanded.

so he steered the dragon steed away, increasing the distance between them and the statue. but even as he did, he had to wonder what the girl had in mind. he only hoped it wouldn't be reckless.]

[ Not reckless... that's asking a lot of Princess Gwendolyn of Ragnanival, Valkyrie General. But, even so, she never decides on reckless behavior without at least thinking it stood a chance of working. ]

[ Gwendolyn swung the spear around once in a circle, spinning in the air before holding it up high, tilting her chin upwards as she spear started glowing brightly with the light of life energy. With that, she swung it, pointing it towards the ground in one fierce sweep. ]

In the name of my father, the King of the Gods...! I, Princess Gwendolyn, shall lay waste unto you!

[ The Psypher Spear shot out a blast of light--blue in color. It was then, the ground around the large statue started spinning creating a massive cyclone. But, she was counting on it picking up all of the surrounding debris, which it did. The large chunks of metal and concrete from the buildings were swept up in the massive storm, slamming against the statue as the cyclone commenced. ]

[now he knew why she asked him to get back. to say he was "surprised" would be an understatement. he had never seen any wield such power, except maybe the psycho tree goddess, and that was something else of its own.

at first he assumed she was just trying to attack it and damage it, but then he saw that some of the larger debris were getting caught between the blades. it was then that he understand what she was trying to do. but would it be enough?]

[ Gwendolyn backed up, watching as the cyclone spun upwards, staring to swirl some of the clouds. ] ...Come on... come on...!

[ She didn't know if it would effectively jam as many blades as she wanted, bu the debris kept piling upon the statue. It was as the cyclone started vanishing into the sky, that she pointed towards the statue. ]

This is the time! [ And she knew Cid could hear her over the communicator as she called out. ] Cid...!

[and he's just going to be hanging back, watching as the airship attacked. it was nothing like he had ever seen before, but one thing was sure.

though it wouldn't destroy it, it would at least give a lot of damage. to think that kind of power existed and to witness it firsthand was definitely something else.]

[ Gwendolyn flew to where Tybalt was, Psypher Spear glowing faintly, but not nearly as brightly as it had been. The Princess seemed to skid to a halt in the air, wings spreading out to break her. ]

...For now... I believe I have done all I can.

You've done well, Princess.

[studies her for a moment.]

Do you need to rest? The...spell [he supposed.] looked like it required much of your power.

[ Gwendolyn shook her head. ]

I am able to go on, tirelessly. [ She was a General, after all. ] ...I was bred to fight. [ Her hands held onto her Psypher Spear tightly. ]

...My only happiness stems from battle.

[ And with that, the Princess slid her eyes away from Tybalt. ] ...Lets just keep an eye on it, for now.

[he just watches before flying forward.]

Very well.

[and so they'll just continue tracking the statue. if she said she was fine and that she could go on, then that was that.]
