Tracking the Statue

[ This post can be hit up by anyone who wants to join in on tracking the statue's location! Gwendolyn is going to be keeping tabs on it by flying after and tracking its course via Dreamberry... so! Anyone who reads this post can assume any information in it is public knowledge if sent out through the Dreamberry. ]

[ Also, Cid, she will also be letting you know what's going on if you're still going all aerial attack on it. ]

[nods.]

Be careful. I don't think it's noticed us yet, but we don't know what it's capable of yet.

Right.

[ The silver-haired maiden braced her Psypher Spear in front of her, moving in a bit closer, moving past Noctis as her wings gave a great flap. Her eyes moved over the monster-statue, trying to see if she could see any sort of weak point in between the spinning blades. ]

[while she focused on the blades, Tybalt looked more toward the head area, slowly flying closer. though that was a little difficult due to the air conditions.]

[ It was then, that the monster seemed to turn--Gwendolyn was caught off-guard by the rotation of the blades, and and Princess let out a yell as she managed to dive out of the way. ]

Nngh! [ Gwendoyln kicked her legs up, both of them narrowly avoiding another lethal rotation as she moved around a little helplessly, looking around for the best way out possible. The Princess held up her spear immediately, and the blue crystal gave a shimmer as she closer her eyes. ]

[ A bright, blinding white blast exploded from her weapon, striking against the monster. She was hoping to force it back so she could retreat from the blades. ]

[well the yell caught his attention.] Princess!

[he kicks his dragon steed and dives toward her (though he didn't seem to need that much urging), though he had to pull up quickly when that blast came from her...spear?

not...quite what he expected, but there wasn't much time to wonder about it. the blast did seem to make the statue move back a bit, enough for her to maneuver at least, and as soon as he was close enough, Tybalt grabbed her hand to pull her back for good measure.]

[ When Tybalt reached for her hand, Gwendolyn was quick to do the same, reaching up towards him. When he caught her hand and moved her back, her wings closed tightly around her thighs, and the monster stumbled back just enough for them to get away. ]

Ah... [ The hand holding the spear reached up, the tip pushing her crown back into place atop her silver-haired head. Gwendolyn released a heavy breath she didn't realize she was holding. "That was close," she thought.]

[once they're a good distance, he looks down at her.]

Are you all right?

[ The Princess looked to him, eyes searching Tybalt's face for a moment. ]

...You saved me.

[armisonant]

[not really noticing at how she's looking at him, his mind elsewhere.]

I think you defended yourself well enough on your own. I only helped pull you back.

[and since it looks like she isn't injured, no need for worry.]

...What was that light? [looking at her spear.]

[ Gwendolyn frowned for a moment, pushing away the strange fluttering she felt at having been saved before looking down at her spear. ]

...A Phozon Blast.

[armisonant]

How does it work? [he's also keeping an eye on that statue. it hasn't moved from its spot yet.]

It uses the light collected from the souls of the dead. Phozons. The stars of the Netherworld.

[ Gwendolyn looked to the statue. She could see why Cid wanted her to stay way... best not to tell him about this... unless he happened to see her flying in just as he told her not to. ]

We should move. It could counter. [ And the odds wouldn't be in their favor. ]

[he's just going to look at her at the mention of "souls of the dead." not quite what he expected.

but enough of that.

he just nods and moves to the side so as to circle around it.]

[ She noticed that Tybalt had given her a look when she explained what Phozon's are. How could one not know about the lingering of souls, both human, animal, and plant, when it had lived out its life? ]

You seem confused.

Yes. But now is not the time.

[because that statue is kind of turning toward them and has its blades pointed at them.]
