It might not have been the most convenient of days, but Elliot had been concerned about how things were going at the library, ever since Vanessa called him and demanded he make Leo quit. Of course, he never would, and he wanted to make sure Vanessa wasn't giving Leo a hard time, so he decided to stop by on his shift... He found his friend doing exactly what he thought he would be doing.

"... That counts as working?" He figured, if Leo was actually working he'd be sorting the books or moving shelves or something, not looking through the selection for good books.

Leo didn't really expect to hear that voice, and so he blinked in surprise as he turned his head to look at Elliot. Working...?

Oh yeah!

He chuckled silently as he turned his attention back to the books, tapping the spines lightly along the way. "I'm taking a break," he said. "Sometimes things are slow too."

Or he was just quick. Whichever.

Elliot let out a soft chuckle. "How long has your 'break' been so far?"

It was what he expected of Leo, really. That's why he thought the library would be a good place for him.

"Mmm..." Leo tapped his chin a little as he grabbed a book, flipping it open to skim through it. "I'm not sure. A few minutes, maybe."

It wasn't important, really. Yeah.

Even though her brother had only just lectured her two days ago about not being an idiot and taking some time to work out the things that were troubling her and get healthy again, here she is at work. Because sitting and staring at the wall of her bedroom has only proven to upset her even more in the last few days.

She's still pale and more sluggish than normal, but her temper is still well in place as she approaches the little brat. Of course today had to be one of the unfortunate days that they were forced to work at the same time.

"You're in my way," she informs him, in a voice that only sounds quiet because she's lost most of it. There are a few books in her hands that belong right where he's standing.

"Move."

Of course.

Of course it times in so well when Leo's just having a generally very bad time, because life just really loves doing that. Ahahaha. Great. Awesome.

He's not feeling up for this.

"Is that so."

She shuts her eyes, clears her throat and tries again, oh so gently, "Yes, you are. Now get out of my way."

"I'm doing things here though. Ask nicely."

He's too tired to give a damn about being careful right now.

If she is, he just has to wonder why so many people here insist on striking random conversation.

Lenalee was looking for a book about the myths in Somarium in the library. She thought that it would be a good idea for killing some time. What she didn't expect was to see a familiar face. She called out to him with a not-so-loud voice.

"Oh, hi, Leo!" She gives a polite smile.

It takes Leo a little while to realise he recognises the voice, and only then does he turn to look. Ah... He remembers her face, although he's not sure if the name in his head is right. A strange name, and there was some broadcast of her acting weird... quite a while ago.

Uhm...

"Ah, hello, miss... Lena..lee, was it?"

"Yes, that's right." Lenalee said with a slight nod. Though, if she knew how Leo remembered her, she'd be traumatized deeply. That drunk time was still a very shameful memory for her.

"How have you been?" she asked with a light voice.

How has he been?

It's been both the worst and best months of his life. Funny thing, that. But he is very far from close enough to Lenalee to answer that question honestly.
