[It was a nice day to be walking through the park, wasn't it? But he saw something out of the corner of his eye, he started to become curious so he went to investigate.

--Is that someone's head coming through a tree?!]

W-Whoa!

[Head whipping in the direction of the exclamation, Ivan hurriedly morphs back into his normal body, looking as though he literally came out of the tree.

He's more than a bit uneasy -- because look of shock clearly equals fear.]

A-Ah! I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten anyone.

[helpsnoobs]

[He just. Stares for a minute, before shaking his head. He laughs nervously, and shifts a little.]

You didn't...frighten me. It was just surprising.

[He stares in return before looking down at the ground in embarrassment.]

I-I'm sorry. [Yep more useless apologies.] I guess I forgot that not everyone here is a NEXT.

Takeshi had been on his way back from baseball practice when one such change in appearance caught his eye. Steps slowing up through the park, he stared for a long moment... before laughing warmly and jogging over a little.

"Wow! That was a neat magic trick."

Ivan feels someone watching him, but he attempts to pay it no mind, even if it puts him on edge a bit due to his role back home as a Hero. When the laughter registers, however, he spins around rapidly -- more than a bit confused. He certainly wasn't used to being praised for his abilities, misguided or not.

"M-Magic trick? Ah, i-it wasn't really a magic trick or anything like that..."

[Hikaru was also taking the time to also train. She was doing a few strokes with her bokken, when she notices someone else close by. She was going to concentrate on her own training before she saw Ivan shapeshift. At first she was a bit stunned, but then walks over,smiling brightly.]

How did you do that? That was so cool!

[With the arrival of the girl, Ivan's a bit embarrassed. Not because she was a girl, of course, but because she was someone that seemed to appreciate his ability. That was a bit of a new thing for him, even in his own world -- accepting that others saw his shapeshifting as something to be praised. He offers a hesitant half-smile in response to her own bright smile.]

D-Do you really think so? I-I mean... shifting is an ability I was given when I was younger. [One that he's still not sure is fit for a Hero.]

Of course! [Hikaru continues to smile brightly. She wasn't like most people who would be afraid of things that were different, Hikaru would rather befriend it and understand it.] I never seen someone who could shift before. Can you shift into anything?

[Although still a bit hesitant, Ivan's certainly a bit more open now that the girl had shown such enthusiasm. He offers a slight tilt of his head.]

I... probably wouldn't know unless I tried, but... I'm fairly certain that I would be able to shift into pretty much anything I've seen.

[Mozart was innocently passing by when he glimpsed Ivan during the middle of a shapeshift. It's not something he'd seen in his academy days -- or here in Somarium, for that matter. He steps back with a gasp from this witchcraft illusion.]

What is this!?

[This would probably be the point at which Mozart realises that Ivan is certainly not a clone, as previously suspected. When he hears the shout, Ivan darts around, nearly tumbling to the ground in his shock.]

M-Mozart? I-I... I'm training. [Wow, he thought you were a shifter too, so what else did it look like he was doing?]

[Message received loud and clear. Why, he looks horrified. Ivan has been knocked down to the tiers of losers once more.]

What on Earth is your training?

[L-Loser tier?! Ivan is far too cute to be demoted to loser tier. C'mon now, have a heart Mozart... lest Ivan start to cry.]

A-Ah, w-well... it's mostly been endurance training, b-but... I took a break to work on my shifting skills a bit.

[UTTERLY TERRIFIED.]
