[ He jerks the dreamberry away from his ear, eyeing the screen a moment before slowly turning it rightside up to see the man there properly. ]

Dreamberry? Is that what this is called?

How did you get into that tiny box, my friend?

Yeah, complete ripoff of the Blackberry but considering the extra functions then it works.

[Oh my god, seriously? Just...just all of his facepalming man.]

I'm not inside any tiny box. I'm in my apartment and you're out in what looks like Espoir judging by the field. We're talking via the video function.

Extra functions?

[ HURRDURR. ]

Amazing. I'm sorry, but I've never actually used any of these devices that Darcy is so fond of. [ BUTTONS. ALL THE BUTTONS. ] What can you tell me about this realm?

Serenity had been walking home from her Academy, preparing for the new school and her many students. She was also preparing for whatever sort of oddity Somarium might throw at them next. The queen of Earth paused when she saw a very well chiseled man attack the scarecrows and then she heard the question asking where he was. She walked over to him, he seemed to be talking to the dreamberry but no one had answered him yet.

"You are heard," she said softly, her lips in their ever-present smile as she stood before the much taller man. Everything about him was large, although she wasn't exactly tall or broad so that wasn't too much of a difficulty between the two of them.

"Welcome to Somarium, specifically Espoir."

Upon hearing the voice he assumed was addressing him, he turned to spot the beautiful woman that had approached him. He may have been big, but at the prospect of being assisted, a wide smile spread across his lips and he looked far less threatening that he may have initially appeared.

The Dreamberry was momentarily forgotten as he faced her fully, offering a small nod. His smile was replaced then by a look of confusion, "Somarium?" that was definitely not something he had heard of. Nevertheless, "In what realm is this Somarium and Espoir?" He asked the question he muttered to himself previously.

"It is the realms of dreams," she said as she continued to smile up at him. "You are on the planet Hypnosia after the Greek God, although you may not know who that is." Serenity did, her past entrenched with that culture as it was. "And the scare crows were mostly protecting their fields... though I'm afraid they cannot tell the difference sometimes."

Dreams? That sounded ridiculous, but then again, he had lived through plenty of ridiculous things in his time, "I'm afraid I do not know," he hated to admit that. His pride, though damaged significantly, was still very much intact and he should have known something. "If this is merely a dream should I not just be able to wake up?"

"The scarecrows--ah. Those creatures that attacked me. Were they yours?"

Thor definitely heard the other man approaching and gave a brief glance in his direction before he finally let his hand holding the odd device drop down to his side. When greeted, a broad smile spread across his lips and he raised his own hand up to return the gesture,

"Hello, I--" wait, what? He was holding what upside down? Oh! The Dreamberry. He looked at the screen, noticing the odd words scrawled on it were in fact flipped along with whoever may or may not have tried to contact him. He turned it in his hand, giving a soft chuckle out of what could have been embarrassment.

"I thank you, friend. These things," he waved the dreamberry for emphasis, "Are still very strange to me." He gave the other a once over, assuming him some type of warrior by his outfit.

He couldn't help but let out another laugh. At least he wasn't the only one confused by the whole thing. He offered a hand out once the man introduced himself. He didn't know of Ferelden, but the title 'Grey Warden' sounded at least a little impressive, "I am Thor, son of Odin. Tell me, what is a Grey Warden? No doubt a noble title if that armor is any indication?"

[ He pulls the dreamberry away from his face, staring a moment before turning it around so the girl is right-side up. ]

Ah, thank you. Hello, my lady!

[ WAVES BACK AT THE SCREEN AMG ]

I am indeed! I've been told quite a bit about this world, but I am afraid this technology is very new to me. Thank you for the kind welcome. I am Thor.

[She's not normally one to greet newcomers, since they all find ways to adapt, and can gather information from residents actually willing to sit there and explain it, but this was certainly something. While she can sympathize, as she, herself, was once in a position similar to theirs, she can't rightfully muster the patience to do it

[ It was a damn good thing that Thor had learned a thing or two about humility because when Lightning decided to tell him that he was holding the Dreamberry wrong, he looked a little less insulted than he probably should have.

In fact, as he pulled the device away from his head he chuckled under his breath, ]

I'm not surprised. I have little experience with Midgardian technology like this outside of what my friend Darcy has shown me. Could you assist me, perhaps?

[How fortunate that he has, because their meeting here would have been a hell of a lot more rocky were that the case.

In fact, the humility almost throws her for a loop, and she finds herself with the inability to scowl at him for his incompetence. Maybe she, too, had learned a thing or two on humility.]

I'll do what I can... [There's a small hesitance to her voice, like she's questioning, but she quickly rectifies that by taking another wide step forward.

She takes the device from his hand, the thought of even asking for permission to not even dawning on her, and flips it in the proper position, placing it back shortly after.]

For starters, you hold it like this. [She then places a finger over the video call button, and presses to deactivate.] You'd be wise to avoid that button as well, unless you have a reason for using it.

[ He offers a smile to the woman, looking only mildly surprised when she suddenly takes the device from his hands. She obviously knows what she's doing despite that earlier hesitant tone, so he just stands there until she sets it back in his hand.

He takes note of what she says, how the screen looks when right-side up and nods, ] Is that what I would use to contact others then? By pressing this. [ and just as she turned the video call button off, he presses it again to turn it on, then off again. He looks pretty proud of himself. ] easier than I thought. I thank you, Lady--?
