Cain sat back in the chair with a frown, once more flipping open the watch fob without actually looking at it, just to hear the mechanical sound of the click and keep his fingers preoccupied.

Soubi was on time for tea, or at lest when he had tea his tea. He wasn't actually sure when the English had tea, but he guessed anyway. He brought a Japanese snack, Onigiri. It was tradition for him at lest to bring something when intruding in on people. He knocked on the door and waited.

Riff ensured everything on the table was set properly and all the things that were necessary for tea were in proper order before walking out into the hall just as he heard the knocking.

Swiftly, he opened the door, holding it wide for their guest. Whatever personal reservations Riff had about the man, didn't matter as long as he was a guest here.

"Good Afternoon, my lord, if you'll step this way, I'll escort you to where my lord Cain awaits."

Cain closed the timepiece once more with a snap, hearing the knock on the front door easily within the quiet of the house and Riff subsequently moving to answer it. There was nothing out of place there, though he sat up a little straighter in his chair in anticipation of putting on a public face. Cain wasn't necessarily the most polite, but he was well-mannered. He knew proper etiquette; he simply didn't always choose to keep an even temper and he spoke out of turn when he felt like it, especially around pushy authority figures and other people who deserved it.

Hopefully Soubi wouldn't do anything to warrant that sort of behavior. For his part, Cain would try to be hospitable, but he knew himself well enough not to promise anything, and was starting to know Soubi enough to see the potential for discord. With luck, he could hold his tongue, keep to small talk and bored glances that were expected of afternoon tea.

Soubi gave a little bow and handed the snack over to the butler. "thank you, Riff." he have him a smile as well. He was shorter then Soubi, but only by three inches. He was about the same height as Kio. Not many people could look at him about eye level.

He walked over to Cain and also gave a bow to him."hello, I brought Onigiri as thanks."
