After all these days, weeks, months, years-and this is how much Dream Energy you people came up with? It's a miracle the barrier is still up! Even that still has that huge, gaping hole in it. Haven't those ( Read more... )

[well this sure as hell is foreboding]

So we were right, the new moon is going to come with some trouble...

[Maka shakes her head]

On the contrary, this confirms a lot.

-- Right, but that's enough about the barrier. I'm more interested about other things, such as these phases of the moon.

Now that it's true that the new moon only brings the more dangerous events while the full moon is often not as harmful in comparison... Well, apparently last month, there had been something off about the full moon-- what happened to it?

That thing? An anomaly that can only spell trouble. I don't know the specifics since I'm not in the department, and since it's still be verified it's probably classified right now, anyway.

An anomaly... Do you think it's possible to say the odds of it happening again?

No promises, but anything's possible. Things aren't looking that great right now.

Yeah, I noticed. If this anomaly starts occurring more and more though, then... correct me if I'm wrong, but it'd possibly confirm a thought I had. About a certain balance between 'light' and 'dark' being tipped, perhaps in favor for the latter of the two.

I have pretty good reason to believe this, but a solid confirmation is never a bad thing.

Did someone tell you that?

The Overlord did-- sort of. She had only mentioned a balance being interrupted and that her own power was waning; the rest we had to figure out on our own.

... The Overlord?

I heard you the first time. I mean who the hell is calling themselves the "Overlord"?

resonancy July 21 2011, 03:37:52 UTC
-- What? But... I thought everyone knew who she was!

[sighs as he leans back in his chair and waves a hand.]

Describe her.

She was-- regal looking, especially for someone who looked like a ghost, with long hair and-- even though she never came out of the castle, at least everyone knew who the Overlord was supposed to be.

...Oh. Oh. You mean her.

...She called herself "the Overlord"? Seriously?

[just shakes his head.]

Well not surprised if she told you...but yeah. If you know that much then I can at least say that there is something screwing up with the balance here.

... What?

[hold on a minute BACK THE FUNBUS UP]

If she isn't the Overlord, then who is she supposed to be?
