[it had only been a couple of days since she returned, but Maka was already getting back to business; after all, Kid had already informed her that there were things to check out, and when it came to Somarium she was never one to let an opportunity pass her by. no time to waste

Somarium. the most chaotic world with no order or pattern whatsoever.

Sorry if I kept you waiting.

Don't worry about it. I'm not too far from here to begin with. But anyway...

Yeah, let's head in.

...he looks a bit perplexed.]
In order to open the entrance, one has to press a button hidden in that center pillar beneath the statue but... [well, the fountain was currently running a lot more water. and said water was cascading all the way around it.
he'll be kind of. looking at Maka pleadingly right about now.]

[omg you are such a spoiled rich kid]
Alright, alright...
[with a resigned sigh, Maka slips off her boots (there was no way she was going to get those ruined in the water) and climbs into the fountain, holding up the ends of her coat as she plods through the shallow waters of the fountain and to the pillar. searching for the button's exact location only took a quick moment, and with that found, she presses it without hesitation.]

anyway, the moment she pushes the button, there's a bit of a rumble before the whole submerged platform the statue was resting on rises so that it was now above water, stepping stones also rising to the surface. the rabbit statue continue to slowly spin and rise even higher before it stops right in front of Maka to reveal the dark entrance down the spiraling staircase that descended to the tunnels below.]

[he waits for Maka to don her shoes before stepping up to the fountain's rim and now walking across the stepping stones.

They wouldn't have anything to worry about, though. The tunnels are relatively harmless and all the traps have been deactivated. We even have a map at our disposal.

[she laughs a little in jest]
A map, huh? Convenient. How much do you know about this place?

Not much outside what is given. It seemed more like an underground military base camp with the various rooms. Storage, barracks, armories, conference room...there wasn't much to find unfortunately.
However, there was one room in particular that had piqued my interest.
[going through the tunnels as he talked. since he had been there not too long ago, he remembered the shortest path to his destination perfectly. but it would still take a bit of walking.]

[still following close behind, Maka mulls on this briefly before she's piqued again]
-- Hm? What is it?
