[it had only been a couple of days since she returned, but Maka was already getting back to business; after all, Kid had already informed her that there were things to check out, and when it came to Somarium she was never one to let an opportunity pass her by. no time to waste, she knew-- at least setlling in was easier when you had done it once before.
so, without further ado, Maka had headed out to the meeting point in Espoir that they agreed on, nearby the fountain where these tunnels supposedly existed. she had heard of them before, but had never gotten the opportunity to look into them further with the police force guarding it so heavily. it looked like they weren't too much anymore... good, Maka thought; she understood their intentions, but it was a bit of an inconvenience back then.
Maka was closer to Espoir, so naturally she had arrived before Kid did. not that she minded waiting, because she knew he would be as prompt as possible, too.]
