[ Momo had carelessly bumped into Canada and when she noticed the basket full of bread, she grabbed his arm gently and smiled. ]

Totally cool! Say, did you make those yourself?

[There was a surprised 'oh!' as he stumbled just slightly before quickly catching his balance. Almost immediately, he offered her an apologetic smile and a bread.] Most. What I didn't bake, I had left on my counter.

[Between the limited power and borrowing a generator, he had used the old trick of baking over a campfire. It sometimes paid to be old enough to remember such tricks (though he was rusty at it so he couldn't quite promise that a few might not have been a bit overcooked, unfortunately).]

[ Letting go, Momo was as happy as a puppy. She stared at Canada with big eyes and waited. ]

It took a while, but it was worth it. [Smiling as he spoke, he then gave her a nod.] Of course you may. I'm more than happy to answer any question.

[ Denmark greeted Canada with an encouraging look and an approving aura; he really wasn't surprised, to be honest. Canada was always real selfless and Denmark would always greatly respect him for it.

He snatched up the bread Canada was handing out and took a big bite-- Denmark didn't realize up until now just how hungry he was. He spent most of his time here wandering, everything was a mess and there was no place for him to settle in at the moment.

Damn, that's good. You sure are busy, hah? [ Denmark was teasing, he was trying his best to lighten the mood-- he didn't need an apology! ]

[Offering a smile and friendly wave, he waited in anticipation to see if Denmark approved of his gift. When he did, he looked quite happy about it since it had been quite the adventure, really, to get done what he had.]

I have been, but it's for the better, right? [It's something that he believed at the very least.] I just wish I could have done more. [Unfortunately, with recent events it had put a bit of a stop to his original plans. He had been planning on making a few more baked goods, but he simply hadn't had the supplies. Perhaps next time, though, his timing would be better.]

[Mille sees his boyfriend and heads over to him with a smile. Matthew gets a little kiss as he does what he can to hide that his movements are not as fluid as they usually are. Something that comes from being injured.]

[Smiling gently, he hugged Mille as best as he could while still having the basket on his arm. As he did, he snuck in a quick, light kiss. If he had noticed that his motions weren't as fluid as usual, he didn't seem to say anything.] Hello yourself. Have you been well?

[Even his shrivelled heart can be softened with Canada's cookies!] I could be wrong, of course, but I seem to be under the misconception that you should be receiving gifts for your birthday, and not giving them out. [Although the fact that nobody knows Canada, let alone his birth date, might hamper the 'receive gifts' thing a bit.]

[They're such magical cookies.] You would be correct in such a thing, actually. Generally one receives gifts on their birthday but I never really told anyone here when mine was. The only people who'd even possibly know from home often forget who I am let alone that I have a birthday. [Notice how England never bothered to wish him a happy birthday and England was the one who pretty much raised him.]
