[huh. a familiar face. except it's pretty clear that she obviously doesn't remember her last time. which wasn't anything new.]

[She looks over her shoulder, then turns back and shakes her head, resuming her former position.]

Then I can hardly wait for it to be done with me.

[An eye brow is lifted, and she turns to face him.]

Kid, I've been here for a year and a half longer than I wanna be, so I've seen people, go, and come back.

[he took the cigarette out of his mouth and gestured to her.]

You included. 'Cept, just like you, half the time those who come back don't remember bein' here. So if people start actin' like they've met ya before, get used to it.

[Just going to brush off that kid comment. For now.]

You've been here for a year and a half? [She shakes her head, and snorts. So ridiculous.] My sympathies.

[At this very moment, she can't even fathom staying for an entire twenty four hours, let alone a year. But his additional explanation throws her off even more.]

If I had been here before, I'd have remembered. [There's a small yet noticeable tinge of uncertainty in her voice. A pause, and then she murmurs:] Prove it.

[crossing his arms as he just stares right on back at her.]

And how the hell you want me to prove it? Just ask anyone around. Sure there'll be someone else out there who remembers you.

You. Prove it. If you've seen me leave and come back, and if you remember me, then you can prove it.

[So frustrated. She folds her arms tightly and stares right back.]

Say something about me. If it's true, then maybe I'll believe you.

[just snorts.]

All right. You have this thing against this guy named Snow, you treat Hope like a little brother, and out of the rest of the folk around here yer one of the few with a decent head on her shoulders. Least when yer not pissed off and pullin' a Cloud on me and bein' all Ms. Lone Wolf. Pretty sure you also had a sister but fuck if I can remember all your family problems.

... Sounds like you know me pretty well.

[Consider her surprised.]
