[Drake had been nearby watching this woman walk around looking mighty pissed for a while now. Ah. The newcomers are starting to pile in again.

He could remember being that pissed. Maybe even more so. Though stomping around like that he had to wonder if many would approach the young woman.

He shrugged his shoulders. Eh, why not. When she managed to remain still for longer than a minute he walked up behind her and spoke up, answering her ramblings.]

No such luck, I'm afraid. On both accounts.

[A voice? Coming from behind her. Yep, that warrants a blade to the face.

She spins on her heel, and with an impressive display of quick reflexes and a series of mechanical ticks, the blazefire sabre is fitted just shy of his neck. And the woman is scowling, eyes burning holes in the back of his head.]

And what makes you say that?

[Ah, shit! That blade came at him so fast that just about the only thing he had time to do was close his eyes and remain perfectly still. Feeling the breeze from the sweeping blade hit his face he slowly opened his eyes and looked at it, then back at her.]

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Calm down, lady. Just, uh... [Going to carefully try to push that blade aside with his hand.] Relax, okay? What kinda way is that to greet someone trying to help you?

[She allows him to push the blade a little, before she helps and fully pulls it back. With a grunt, the blade is re-sheathed, and she steps back.]

So you're trying to help me, huh. [She folds her arms.] Then you can start by telling me where I am.

Wandering through the area with a scowl plastered on his face, Jin couldn't help but overhear the clack of boots hitting the pavement nearby. Judging by the stomping, whoever it was, they weren't too happy. As he gets closer, he sees the figure of a woman gazing into the sky. Perhaps she was new here; there seemed to be an influx of new people here around this time of the month. He ambles cautiously closer, noting the blade resting at her side. What was this woman so angry about?

"You're stuck." He sighs disdainfully, wishing he could go home as well. Jin's features soften for a moment, but he quickly regains his usual stony expression. "There is no way out of here." He'd learned that upon arriving here, much to his dissatisfaction. There was no point in trying to escape this strange place.

She could sense someone coming up behind her before he spoke, and after pulling her blade on the last person that had, she felt no need to do it this time. Why attack people stuck in the same situation as her? There was no reason unless, of course, they decided to attack first. She didn’t respond, didn’t even give this person a slight piece of her attention until many moments later, moments used to swallow her copious amounts of anger and frustration. For now anyway, she’ll let it all bubble up and explode later ( ... )

Jin kept his eyes trained on her, watching the woman's movements carefully. It didn't appear that she intended to draw her blade, but even so, he remained weary. He couldn't take any risks, having already ran into trouble with the police here. Everything had flipped upside down; In his home world, he was the authority, and a decorated soldier to boot. But in this place, any wrong move could result in an arrest. For now he'd lay low and try not to get into another scuffle, hoping this person wouldn't end up attacking him ( ... )

Attacking the other would be a wasted effort, it would get her no where right now if she were to battle a neutral party, especially one that’s actually taken the time to speak with her about her untimely arrival in this foreign hellhole. For now, she would indulge this man in conversation, and try to figure out information that she didn’t already know, or hadn’t already figured out on her own ( ... )

[On the way back from helping the recently-shrunken Naminé, Kairi happens to pass a one Lightning Farron. She didn't think much of it at first, but caught the tail end of the woman's musings as she walked by. Always one to help other people out, especially if they were new, the redhead turned, and spoke to Lightning's retreating back.]

Um... there isn't a way back. Not that we can control, anyway.

[Realizing how grim that sounded, she laughed lightly.]

It's okay, though! This place isn't as bad as it seems.

[At hearing a relatively harmless sounding voice, Lightning glances over her shoulder, and then finally spins on her heel to face the other.]

Not that we can control?

[If she weren't so damn good at controlling her emotions and reactions, she'd have winced. Not being in control, you can add that to the top of the list of things that frustrate Lightning, right under Snow's name.]

No, it seems a whole lot worse.

[Kairi nods.] People get sent home all the time, but we can't choose to go back. And then, sometimes, they show up here again... and again...

[She shakes her head suddenly, and offers an apologetic smile.]

It really isn't terrible. There are some weird... things that happen every once in a while, but the people you meet here at great.

So someone [or something] else is calling the shots, then.

[She huffs, annoyed, but getting pissy or anything of the sort in front of this girl, who is only trying to help, won't get her anywhere.]

Weird things, like what?

[She lifts a hand to rest on her hip, her voice lacking animosity of any sort.]

I'm not much for idle chatter. The people may be great, but I don't have the time for that.

[huh. a familiar face. except it's pretty clear that she obviously doesn't remember her last time. which wasn't anything new.]

I'll spare you the effort: there ain't one. 'Cept for whenever this world's done with you.

Then I can hardly wait for it to be done with me.

[Train is just going to pass by without much interest.]

You're stuck in a dream world called Somarium. [That's all he's saying unless she asks him more.]

A 'dream world', huh? [She just snorts.] Sounds more like a nightmare if you ask me.

I'm just going with the flow until I figure out a way out of this place.

What constitutes going with the flow? Because I don't feel like playing along here.
