Diet, Diet, Diet!

Hey all, today marks the first real day of my diet! I've decided I want to loose two stone and after being inspired by f-lister of awesome gnimaerd I'm going to record my progress, just because I think it'll help me out.

I'm using the weight watchers diet thing, and I've been really good since yesterday afternoon, if you don't know how it works, it's using ( Read more... )

slimfast, dieting, weight watchers

I can't believe a slimfast drink counts as 4 points...

I looked at the points chart and I think I average around 15 points as I usually only eat one meal per day and don't have sugar in my tea :P

LOL, yeah, I quite like to snack, sooo I'm cutting them out and drinking tea with sweetener instead.

Sweetener isn't as bad as I thought it would be either and the slimfast drinks are supposed to replace a meal sooo *shrug*

THANK YOU DEAR.

As for better mood, I feel better. but my moods not really improved, though that might be due to spending all day cooped in my house, with no way to travel about the local town, no money to spend in town, and my parents and brother out all day.

It's like being stuck in 703. But WORSE CAUSE I CAN'T MUNCH.

I'm sure it'll be fine thoughhh <3 Hope work is going okay!

Good Luck! Don't go too crazy though. If you are too strict on yourself, you'll never stick to it!

I know exactly what you mean which is why I've given myself the leeway ^^ My parents are already trying to feed me more, I swear they bought the take away yesterday on purpose >.>

It's my brother and my uncle who've been the strictest on me though, surprisingly, though my uncle has done and dusted the diet, so he has fair rights, but my little brother just came across as nasty. Silly thing. He's lucky I don't have to spend all day with him.

Good luck losing weight! I know it can be really hard sometimes. There are some lj communities that you might want to check out to find support or inspiration. One is weight_goals, which is pretty active and people make a variety of posts. Another is weight_comp, which holds weight loss challenges and weekly weigh ins; I'm taking part in the current one and I think the next challenge starts July 11.

p.s.- Are you excited about the Dr Who finale? I'm sad that it's ending, but I can't wait to see how Moffat resolves the cliffhanger(s) from the Pandorica Opens.

I can't believe it's nearly over! I cried last week, hard. I am terribly excited about it. Moffat is such a genius I cannot begin to describe how lovely it is to not have spoilers and yet, plunge on mystified by what the hell is going to happen now.

But I'm honestly looking forward to the IT Crowd again that starts tonight I'd recommend trying to watch that for it's geeky goodness!!

As for the Good luck, thank you very much ^^ The communities look good, I'll check them out!

As mentioned, I just want to loose a little you know? I think it's good to start it now, as I'm more likely to keep it up when I get to my new house in August as we live near a swimming pool so I'll definitely go to as my biggest problem is snacking and no exercise and I don't have a gym near my halls but I move out on July 7th! Yayyyy

I hope your diet goes well too ^^ I can assure you I know how hard it is. *really wants biscuits.*

just wanted to comment on this (at last) and say GOOD LUCK, DUDE! You can totally do this.

Just be careful with weight watchers that you don't get over-reliant on it - remember always to see it as a tool that YOU are weilding because it's what you feel is the best aid, not the soul way for you to lose weight. (I've seen WAY too many people get kind of hooked on it - and they're always the ones who put all the weight back on once they come off it, because they convince themselves they'll fail if they're not on the plan).

Hee, I know they can be addictive, but I do plan to exercise as well, as soon as I get back to Bristol officially in August, we have a local swimming pool which should help me keep the weight off.

As well as that I'm cutting out uni lunches, and I've really got used to tea with sweetener, so I'm definitely eating healthier now than I ever was.

Either way, I think I'll feel better about myself it's not really the points system it's just....a guide you know? to remind me XD

Thank you for the luck!!
