LOL. I was somewhat surprised to see her in the movie trailer as well. Even still, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

It's all CGI. She's playing Grendel's mother. I've heard some of her scenes are quite raunchy, and involve full frontal nudity. The thought of seeing her nude, even in CGI form, turns my stomach. But, that's just me. haha I'm really having second thoughts on seeing the film. :(

I'm not a big fan of hers either, the only thing I like her in are the Lara Croft movies. She's playing Grendel's Mother, so her part probably won't be that big. I wouldn't pass on seeing the movie because of her--just close your eyes take deep breaths and pretend it's LL up there. :) I'm happy to see that Crispin Glover is playing Grendel, I've liked him since he was in Back to the Future and he did a good turn as The Thin Man in the Charlie's Angels movies.

I'm with ya. Something about her bugs me and I don't know what. The whole Jennifer/Brad/Jolina thing really turned me off to both Brad and Jolina

All I can think of when I hear the title of this movie is the "Ring" trilogy on Xena, as I'm sure everyone does too.

My thing with her is she's a freak, basically. French-kissing her brother (on the red carpet in front of all the world) and the whole weird freakiness that was her marriage to Thornton and the shenanigans they got up to....

I read Beowulf when I was in school, a couple of times actually. I always liked the story, so I was thrilled when I found out they were going to do the story on Xena. I was kind of disappointed, but it was Xena so I overlooked it. Gave them poetic license and whatnot.
The more I think about it, the more likely I am not to go see the movie. From what I've read about the storyline, they applied for lots of poetic licenses. But, in a way, I'm thankful I found out she was in it. That prompted me to look into the movie more. Otherwise, I would have been pissed off and I would have demanded my money back. haha

Yeah, that whole kissing her brother thing was just wrong. And sometimes I get the feeling she and Brad adopt children from 3rd world countries to get publicity. I mean, there are many children who need homes right here in the good 'ol USA. Another annoying thing about her is that there's just too much press about her and Brad, everything. I'm sick of it and them.
