Room 527, so late Friday it's Saturday

When the shuttle dropped Jaina off at the causeway, she had no idea what time it was, except she wasn't seeing a lot of people. She was guessing it was late. Realistically, it was probably late enough that she should just head back to her own room and worry about things in the morning, but she wasn't the slightest bit tired

John had fallen asleep early. Such was what happened when you were up at ungodly hours with a droid baby and vague worrisome voicemail. Luckily, Todd was back with his fake parents. Unluckily, John hadn't heard Jaina come in his room.

"It's almost like you're paying me back," she noted.

"Am I that petty?" he asked.

[solo_sword]

"Not petty, but I'm still bringing up the bunny thing I wasn't even there for, so..."

This was much more comfortable, more normal. She liked this.

"Again with the bunny?" He was so willing to forget she ever mentioned it.

[solo_sword]

"Just using it as an example," she smirked.

[missed_the_gate]

"An example of the many crazy things that happen to me?" He asked, because of course he hadn't done anything to deserve any of them.

"Of the way I tease, but yes, that too."

[missed_the_gate]

"Well, I'll have you know nothing crazy happened to me this week. So you get no new dirt to tease me about." He was proud of this.

"I would have been sorry to have missed it," she said, pretty proud of him, actually.

[missed_the_gate]

"You really do care," he smiled. "Wanting to see me at my worst and all."

[solo_sword]

"I just like seeing you." Which was more honest than she'd been meaning to get, but there she was.

It was weird that she could still give him that fluttery feeling with just a few words. "I've heard I'm not so bad looking." Okay, so fluttery feelings didn't stop him from being an ass.

"It helps matters," she said dryly. "Lucky for me."

[missed_the_gate]

It was so nice having the banter back. "I had to have some way to get and keep your attention. Other than the borrowed bike."

"What if I get bored with that?" Not that she could foresee that happening.
