Well, have been back for two nights and a day now, since we arrived home late on Sunday. But then I had to deal with some urgent work stuff, and generally unpack and re-sort all my things, and catch up on life as it happened between Thursday and Sunday night. Because those four days in Düsseldorf were kind of too busy for me to keep up.

It was great fun. I was starting to think that the entire clichefic bingo thing could be done with Maru as the main character. Only when I'm sober, this doesn't sound so appealing. (Sorry, Maru.)

Let's see...while on his Vacation, Maru (in his Secret Identity as a Sick Amnesiac who happens to be Pregnant) has a Chance Encounter in the Future with a bowl of popcorn (in a Weird Crossover that's also an Inanimate Objects AU because the popcorn is secretly king in another universe) and it turns out to be a tremendous Aphrodisiac, which...hang on a sec, I'm getting a headache now...

OMG this is the best Maru story I have ever read. The characterisation is spot-on, and the subtle commentary on the essential futility of his existence is at once angsty and realistic. I will memory this story and recommend it to all my friends!
