While Mister Apollo's mentions of Robin and the demoness had piqued Connie's interests decidedly, duty came first, and food even before that. She'd be no good to anyone, after all, if she weren't running on a full tank. The prissy kid from the day before had passed her, and it was cold as ice when he'd given his greeting. Connie shrugged, figuring that rich kids would be rich kids. Still, it didn't mean she couldn't be friendly.

"Mornin' kid," she'd offered happily before he had moved too far away. At his mention of food she moved in his direction but still kept a distance, not wanting to cut anyone in line. The strange purple man from before was there tending the food, and she wondered if his grub would be as strange as himself. Anything that warms my belly, I guess. She had more than half a mind to start barraging him with questions, but it was best not to mess with the cook if you wanted any of his meal ( ... )

Even as he waited for a response from the officer, it was clear from the look on the boy's face that he was no longer paying attention to that which surrounded him.

Lady Kasuga's voice in his mind told him of a newcomer, and that Tyrus was injured again. Near the Hospital. We need to get that place fortified, he mused with a steep frown.

Still, the assignment was as good an excuse to get the Flicker away from his honorary sister as any. Whether he healed Tyrus this time, or terminated him, would depend entirely on whether he had come by such injuries while attempting to feed upon a human again.

"Forgive me, it seems I am needed elsewhere," he excused himself with a small bow to all present.

The smell of cooking and the sight of people beginning to gather around the fire pit once more drew Ares towards it. She'd been awake for a few hours now and more industrious than was entirely wise on an empty stomach; she had started feeling slightly faint and upset some time ago. So she postponed her trip to acquire room-dressings and headed for the breakfast line. She was disappointed to see Kororen stepping away from it and hearing his apology as she approached.

"Have you eaten anything as yet today, Kororen?" she asked. "I hope that you would not attempt anything arduous before allowing your body the fuel it needs."

Connie wanted to roll her eyes at the kid's overbearing sense of 'duty', but it wasn't like she had her own version of that idea that some others didn't find perplexing at best. So she waved to Kororen as he turned, wishing him well with a "Good luck, boyo!"

It was then that she noticed Miss Ares had made it onto the scene, wondering how she could stand moving around in that stuffy getup. Not that it doesn't suit her. She's a scary lady... to people who scare easy anyway, heh.

"Mornin' Miss Ares!" she called as she moved to stand next to Kelly and have a proper conversation with the boy. But Miss Ares seemed a bit tied up at the moment, and Connie knew better then to fool with a woman on a mission, even if the fooling could prove very entertaining. For once public order wouldn't be disturbed by her, no sirree.

Herrigan looked up from the meal he had prepared. A succotash of sorts, along with a form of hash. An odd choice, but it worked with the goods they had on hand. He'd had Kelly take a hand in preparing a fruit salad out of other canned goods.

It was by no means fine dining, but for the Fountain group, it was a welcome change of pace from basic cuisine. Herrigan rather seemed at home at the fire, briskly stirring a pan of hash.

"Good day, folks. Help yourself to whatever you please, as it's all ready. I'm afraid it's rather spartan at best, but shall suffice for our needs. Kelly, if you'd be so kind as to hand out dishes? There's a good chap."

Kelly waved to Connie, offering a smile as he set the bowl of fruit aside and collected the dishes in question. He gave an almost comical little wave with a bowl and held it up.

"Morning, Connie! I'm doing okay. Just helping Officer Miggx with breakfast. Hope you like.. Um.... Assorted plants?"

He gave an almost comical little wave with a bowl and held it up. "Okay! Who calls first dibs?"
