Stretching, he got up quietly, careful not to wake anyone else. Shooshing Lessa as she huffed and shuffled after him, Zeek made his way downstairs, peeking around the rooms to see if anyone was up.

With someone actually moving about the apartment, though, especially someone trying not to be heard, he snapped into wakefulness fast enough that it almost hurt. Guh. he grumbled internally, pushing himself up to sit. I know too many assassins. Tucking the blanket back in place about his bed-mate, he rose, at least as quietly as Zeek had.
"Mornin'" he intoned unenthusiastically, voice low, and still a bit gravely with sleep, as he padded past both boy and dog in the hall, heading downstairs.

"Would you like some breakfast? I was thinking of making some."

But Ani was awake now, and the early morning grumpiness burned away quickly. "Well enough, considering the lack of white-noise. Yourself?"
He found the clothes and running shoes he'd scrounged up the previous day, not about to get the fancy duds he would be wearing at the conference mussed for the sake of breaking a sweat. "Breakfast sounds great, but not 'til I get back. If I've got ta be on a planet, I'm like ta take advantage of havin' the room to run. Runnin' on a full stomach's a good way of emptyin' it."
He had half a mind to just change right there, but there was no need to make people he didn't know uncomfortable by challenging their comfort zones. The non-functioning bathroom was just around the corner.

Lessa stopped just short of the kitchen entry, tilting her head at Zeek, before turning and trotting off after the other man, peeking curiously around the corner.
