Silence had finished his work some time before, but had not moved. He had adjusted the mounds of soil every few minutes, trying to bring himself to leave, but he just couldn't ( ... )

Herrigan managed to find his way down, a broken fire escape on one side of the building. Halfway down, he had to jump, tucking and rolling on impact. He sprang to his feet, smoothing his coat down and adjusting his coat.

"Well now....To attend to the matter at hand.." Herrigan had always had a habit of speaking to himself, even back in the Queen's Court. In Solluna, however, it seemed like the only thing to do in the eerie silence.

He made his way around the corner of the building he had been situated on, leaning into view and examining the peculiar tableau before him. A burial, it would seem.

Herrigan approached the fenced-in yard, pausing at the edge and clearing his throat quietly. The red-skinned figure glanced his way, strange golden eyes devoid of emotion.

"An eternity's repose. It brings peaceful thoughts, does it not?" Herrigan asked, neatly folding his arms behind his back and awaiting a reply. He hoped that the fellow wasn't too distraught, but if he was another lost soul in Solluna, perhaps he needed shelter.

Silence bristled at the intrusion of the stranger. Something smelled off about the man, but he wasn't sure what. He rose to his feet and turned to face the human, head tilting to one side.

He stood there in absolute silence for a few long seconds, studying the other individual.... And then turned away, leaping the nearby fence in a single, smooth bound.

He had no time for people. He had business to attend to, creatures to kill, and amends to make. He crouched, and then launched himself skyward, grappling with a decrepit lamp post and laughing himself toward the nearest rooftop.

Silence landed with a dull thud, scrabbling up and over the roof of one of the once-pleasant households and out of sight.

The Hatter watched the strange, acrobatic creature bound away and sighed. He removed his hat for a moment and ran his fingers through his hair, examining the graves for a few long moments before simply collapsing the hat and dropping it.

A new portal opened in the ground, and he mumbled to himself as he backed up, giving himself some running room for "departure".

"I'll ask my new found compatriots about the fellow.....For now, it's best to return to my travels.."

Herrigan took several bounding steps forward and lunged, tucking into a roll as he reached the hat. Grasping the edge, he folded it into itself, and vanished into the Space-Between once more.

The streets of Solluna were silent again, save for the odd droplet of greasy rain pattering down, and the dull winds blowing through the cavernous hollows of long dead buildings..
