Ares landed in front of the damaged building. She quietly surveyed the crumbled facade for a moment before folding her wings back into herself and starting up the stairs. She spotted the girl standing inside and made her way through the crushed entrance. "My name is Ares Devile. I have come to issue you an invitation," she announced as she walked over crushed plaster and broken glass. "There is to be a meeting in a day's time to discuss matters of trade and residence here in Solluna. It is believed that we at the different colonies could be of great assistance to each other and should meet to compare our needs."
Ahime gave a jerk of surprise and spun around, the journal still clutched tightly to her chest. The woman that was speaking to her was not one she'd seen previously, but she vaguely recognized her face from the images in the journals under the resident listings.
Her brows furrowed, confused at first by her words, but the expression sliding in to something more pained and wary. Ares, as she said her name was, seemed to be talking about 'colonies' and being of assistance to one another.
"I... I'm sorry..." she said softly, a tired smile appearing as she bowed slightly, trying to remain respectful even while her heart ached, "There's really not a 'colony' here. Not... not anymore. And I don't feel right, trying to represent the few still around. We're not even a handful here, and I personally have nothing I can offer. I appreciate the invitation, but please accept my refusal. I don't mean to be rude or ungrateful. I just... don't think we can be what anyone else needs. Not in the shape we've been left in."
"It seems that your colony is in the most need of assistance then," Ares said, crossing her arms. "And so it would behoove you all the more to come. If this place is not suitable or safe for habitation then it is possible that more amenable residences may be found for your number among the other colonies." Ares glanced around again at the obvious destruction. "And if you do not feel competent to answer for your comrades then perhaps you can call them here or direct me to where I might speak with them. If it is not your place to accept this invitation, then it is certainly not yours to reject it."
Ahime gazed at Ares for a long moment before letting a tired, absolutely exhausted sigh leave her. She gestured to the stairs she'd come down.
"They're on the second floor. It might be better if you just go see them yourself. You're right, I can't reject it on their behalf..."
Her shoulders slumped, the hand clutching her journal falling to her side as she managed to step across the rubble and head in another direction aimlessly, her voice trailing behind her.
Ares watched the girl leave with a slight disapproving frown before turning and making her way to the stairs. She came to the second level and looked around, annoyed to have no further notice for where the others would be. With a put-upon sigh, she chose a direction and started walking down the hall.

"But I can on my own."
