Wicca and Politics

Being young and new to voting (only 21!) I've been doing a lot of research on various candidates and political parties to see where I fit in. I was raised in a very conservative and Catholic family with parents who told me "always vote for the Republican candidate." Thanks to everyone. It's just nice hearing what others have to say. I'm not going to totally vote based on my spiritual views,although I think everything kind of ties together. But I definitely have taken all the advice and opinions to heart and know that I have a lot of research to still do. Thanks again!

I am for the most part a very liberal democrat. I at one time had ideals about joining the Green party but the very sad truth is that despite great attempts the Green party never gets very far in the election. It always comes down to Dem/Rep and frankly it doesn't really seem like we have more than those two parties most of the time.

As for a religious stance. I don't mind voting for someone of a different religion than mine, I mean I'd never vote if I did but I do pay close attention to how religious they are and whether they allow that religion (normally Christianity) to control how they run there politics.

I also pay attention to those that respect the earth and are concerned with Green/environmental causes. This has a large sway on me.

I'm going to agree with you and take it one sad step farther:

A vote for McKinney is a vote for McCain. Look at what happened to Bush when Ross Perot ran.
