I just dropped by to say Welcome. I have no words of wisdom for you, I apologize.
What really grabbed my attention was the fact that you're a therianthrope, a wolf at that. I am as well and I always love meeting other therianthropes, especially wolves.
So again, Welcome, it's nice to meet you =)

Oh awesome, you're one too? I share the 'therianthropy' bond with both Wolves, and Crows, and since both have come into my life a lot (Wolves spiritually, Crow's physically), I consider them incredibly important. I know some people just shun therianthropes for being 'silly', or 'too inside their own head'. Not that I'm saying anyone from this community is like that ^^

Nice to meet you too!

I've not noticed any problems from this community or the others I'm in but I have had similar problems of people calling me crazy or politely saying so ^_^ So yes, I know what that's like. I have a bond with Wolves in a manner of therianthropy and spiritually. Hawks I have a bond with spiritually and physically as Hawk is my totem. Wolf is also a totem of mine but the one that works with me the most is Hawk.

I really love your artwork by the way, amazing! I really love the one of the wolf with the rat on it's head ^_^ I'm a rat owner and rats have taken a very special place in my heart.

I love rats too, I currently own two, Todd and Tobias (of Sweeney Todd naming original XD;;)I keep a journal for them at canisrattus if you're interested in seeing photos 83

Thankyou, it's always lovely to hear comments about my art ^^ And Hawk's are beautiful animals, you must feel very privaliged to have hir as your totem :3

I like you already! XD Tsukasa! Cloud and Zak and FFVII! Kamui even!!! LMAO. Sorry. Love your icons. =P

Welcome to the community, first off. I'm very close to animals as well. Though I haven't met my spirit guide, I know that I'm followed closely by my first dog, Honey. I have two totem animals, a bear and an owl. My familiar is my boyfriend's cat, Ribbons, and she just gave me a present the other day that I can't stop beaming about.

I constantly "fall out" of my Wicca practice, so the best thing I can do is buy a bunch of things from eBay. It makes me so happy to get a package where I can dig in and unwrap things, saying "Ooh, what's this?" every time. I then take some time to organize my altar and my magickal space to make room for my new items.

And that's a great idea :D Maybe I could get a reading one day.. Maybe I can add you as a friend, too?

Hehee, glad you like my icons! Thank you for the welcome, and yay, more 'animal people!' 8D And what was the present, if you don't mind me asking? XD;

I'm trying to 'train' one of my rats to be a /physical/ familiar,(because I guess Turpin works as my familiar on the spirit/astral plane) Todd seems the most promising, as he is genuinly interested in my rituals and stuff and stands on his little back feet watching me X3 Did you need to train Ribbons, or did it just... happen? I'm extremly interested in familiars, but have never really found any good references.

And hee, thats a good idea. I used to feel the same when I went into the Wiccan shops they used to have in Chester. (though they shut some down u_u)

And of course you can add X3 Let me know if theres any filters you want to be added to (soulbonding and the like, I know it bothers some people)

Nice to meet you!

She directed me to a dime one night and wouldn't stop meowing until I picked it up lol. I guess she was trying to help with my financial situation. I told her that a bundle of one-hundreds would help more, but thanks anyways, lol.

I didn't train Ribbs, no. She hung around me twice while I was casting a spell in the bedroom to try and help me and my boyfriend sleep. I knew she was attracted to the magickal energy in the room the first time I did it, so I sat with her for a while after I finished. And then she bit me - I read in a book once (don't ask me which book, I couldn't tell you) that if a pet bites you for no reason at all, they're trying to "claim" themselves as your familiar. So I let her!

I'd love to do that in a shop, too, but the closest one is an hour drive. I only get to do it once in a while. :D

And yay! I'll let you know if I want to be added to anything.

Awww, that's a wonderful story! And the fact it ties up with the Japanese beckoning cats, and the fact cats are supposed to bring in properity is awesome XD That's the first thing I thought of, anyway.

And wow, if you ever remember that book title, do let me know, I find it quite hard to find references on familiars D:

Welcome! I've fallen in and out with my path many times now. What brought me back this previous time was pretty much nature. I seemed to be looking at things in a different light and everything seemed to click. I've gotten into the habit of keeping myself open for those types of things and it seems to work. :3

Thanks! And yeah, the same thing happens to me, and did the other night, hence me falling back into the path. XD I need to find an easier trigger though, all I was basically doing was staring into the rain :3

I'm a mom, and daily practice is difficult when my time is mostly taken up by my two small children, my two kitties and my dog. :\ I find inspiration though, by always communing with nature. I'll grab my kids and we'll go for a walk and have lunch outside at the park or in front of the private elementary school. We'll take off our shoes and pick wildflowers or just play in the dirt.

I wish it were easier to get to nature, from where I am. We have fields though, but it's nothing compared to the beautiful woods I used to be able to visit. However, we DO have a beautiful country park with a large river, and lots of winding , wooded paths, it's just difficult to get to without a car >:

It doesnt have to just be earth, though. You can always admire the sky. We like to think up of what the clouds look like.

i love learning new words, and therianthrope is a doozy! Do you use therianthrope instead of lycantrhope is avoid the negetive psychological connetations? (sorry - i googled before i commented) or do you have attributes of more than one animal?

I'm very interested in the animal cards, I haven't heard of them before. Is the reading based on what's drawn on the card, or is it based on the attributes traditionally associated with that animal? How many cards are there? are they all actual animals or are there some fantastic ones as well? Just northern hemisphere/european animals?

Hope I'm not asking too many questions!

I also love anime/manga/japanese culture and own a rat, so i'm looking forward seeing more from you!

To get back into the swing: I love learning something new so if I find myself disconnected, I try to get hold of a new (or old) book, or maybe try a ritual or exercise I haven't tried yet. I find that always gets me in.
