IMO the real Hetalia vibes kick in once it goes to the final voting (not like in the semi finals - they only show on a monitor who made it; I mean the *real* votings when they switch to the studios of each countries' broadcasters and every country gives their vote through a presentator) and you can see who gets points from whom and who gets ignored by a country they gave points to, etc. This is a recipe for great dramas, every year. For example, the UK takes it very seriously if Ireland doesn't give them 12 points and vice versa (it happened last year and they were NOT amused *lol*), not to speak of Greece and Cyprus.
Hetalia needs a Cyprus!
I might make a Folk Metal entry one of these days. After the ESC though XD
That is true. Like the Belarus-Russia thing - I know you've mentioned it before, but somehow putting a terrifying yandere face to it simultaneously increases hilarity and terrifying-ness. OH BELA.
There ARE Cyprus! Two of them :3 They're super subtle but they show up sometimes when Turkey is around, especially when Egypt or Greece are involved - in the Halloween event last year, they're sort of trailing along with Egypt behind Greece-abducting Turkey.
Yes, and imagine how furious Belarus is right now because she wasn't placed in the same SF as Russia and could not vote for him! Instant drama! (Lithuania is lucky that it was Latvia and not him who was in the same SF XD)...
I never noticed! But I admit that I'm not that big a fan. I mean, I read the manga occassionally and watched some of the anime but that's it. Whenever I decide to step up my Hetalia-reading something somehow gets in the way and I forget about it ;_;

Also I think Hetalia has either ruined or VASTLY enhanced ESC for me. >___> I mean I always look forward to it, but now it's like....cannot unsee.
