RDJ, why so awesome?

Just got finished watching the Sherlock Holmes Blu-ray BD Live event thing, in which Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan were there to add movie commentary and answer fan-submitted questions.  Some of the questions were absolutely retarded, and made me wonder just how much moderating the moderator was actually doing ("Do you guys have any snacks ( Read more... )

Lol, there was a fangirling/general freak-out thread going on at holmeswatson09 during the viewing, and naturally much spazzing from everyone when he actually obliged the "shout out" comment one of the ladies there submitted. XD Good times.

Lots of fun, and an amazing feat of technology, for Warner Brothers to be able to pull something like this off. \o/ (This was apparently the first time one of this Live Viewing events has included audio in addition to a chat-room type running commentary from the interview, and there were obviously some bugs still to be worked out; audio kept glitching in and out, then stopped altogether, then, when they did finally fix it, it lagged a good deal behind. But WB is supposed to post the movie event to BDLive for viewing in a couple weeks, and they claim the audio should be synched.)

Heh. That was cool! I can just *hear* him saying that stuff....

I don't have blu-ray, but I did buy my regular ol' DVD version of Holmes & Hotson. Watched it every night since purchasing, which is admittedly not that long ago, but I cannot imagine getting tired of it. There's just so much going on all the time.

And some things get better with repeated viewing. EX: Holmes' little scream when Dredger throws him across the table. :P

RDJ was, as he always seems in interviews, charismatic and hilarious. ♥

And the part I totally missed (even though I'd already seen the film three times) until someone on holmeswatson09 pointed it out and included a gif, in which Watson runs his hand down Holmes's calf as he ducks down through the trapdoor before Lestrade burst in to arrest Holmes!
