That call between them is subtle and compelling and you've captured both the intensity of it and the way they both bury the knowledge of that intensity deep.
Honestly, if the boy didn't go altogether nuts in that cell it's some sort of miracle. Ironic, isn't it, that Sanzo claims to be suffering from "solitude and insanity" when Goku has to deal with more of both than he ever did?

I love the way you compared and contrasted the different reactions to the mutual voice they share. It was intense and it said so much in such a short piece. Poetic and artfully written. *le sigh* The way you demonstrated that intensity and depth gave me goosebumps. Seriously.
