So glad you caught up! Commence squeeing in 3...2...1...
the mysterious Sawyer-related phone calls of the future Everyone seems to think these involve his daughter somehow.
the more and more I hate -- HATE -- that future!Jin-and-Sun episodeI'm surprised you disliked it so much. I thought it was a great bit of misdirection. The Jin scenes were definitely pre-Island, back when he used to work as a messenger for Sun's father. And he's totally alive. From a writer's point of view, you can't possibly kill him off like that, off-screen, without any resolution with Sun. Somehow he made it back to the island, and they will be reunited again
( ... )
I'm glad people agree Jin is alive! That makes me feel better, at least.
Yes, the Michael storyline sucked. I guess he was pretty much a non-character after he left the island, and they just used him here and then disposed of him.
Yeah, if it's that EVERYONE has to go back to the island, that would make for some very interesting TV! >:)
re: Jin/Sun... the Jin scenes were in the past, the Sun scenes in the future. There were hints in the Jin scenes about it being in the past (one of them was the Chinese year that it was that he bought the stuffed toy, for the baby - if it was really that year, it would be shortly before the crash (or 12 years later, but that's a bit much).
And I totally think Jin's still alive, but his 'death' may have swung Sun to take revenge on some of her former comrades (or Ben himself, but since Ben's allied with them it'll probably screw them over too), and it'll only be after she does that she learns the truth.
Were the Jin scenes from before the island (if so, that's shameful) Yes. This has been established already, based on the "year of the dragon" and his outdated cell phone.
