Dude, you are so much nicer than I am. :) When I worked retail if someone complained about something like lack of help on the floor, I think I at best would have shrugged. I certainly wouldn't have apologized, because it wasn't my fault. ("Yeah, I know. Management cut our hours again, because they're stingy fuckers. I can't help you because I have unrealistic quotas to fulfil at the cash register and barely have time to pee. I *can* page a manager for you, though, if you'd like to direct your venom that way.") I also wouldn't say thank you when someone bought something, because I didn't feel any particular kinship with the store and certainly wasn't getting a commission. :)

I *would* say "have a good day," though, because believe it or not, I am generally a friendly person, and that came from me, not the store.

Yes, I should work more on my rudeness. ;) And I relate to what you say about retail work. I did page a manager once for a customer to direct her venom at, and he didn't seem very happy with me...

Awesome! So great that people are noticing the job you do at work and that people are actually going out of theire way to pay you a compliment.

And about the age thing. I get that alot too. People are surprised when they find out I'm 29. I guess I look like I'm 24 or something. Maybe it's due to the fact that I don't feel 29...

I have a question for you. You're welcome to say no, btw. ^^ I'm finishing up a fic for the Coldest Month challenge: coldestmonth It's for QAF US, Mel/Linz, but the real reason I'm commenting here is to ask you if you'd mind taking a glance at it b/c it's set in Canada. I want to make sure I'm not too far out of bounds with my setting, only b/c I've never been to/researched Canada. I'd really love to get your opinion. ^^

Lemme know what you think; the fic is ready now and due this coming Sat, Jan. 28.

Sure! I don't normally read fic, but I'll give it a go. :) I haven't seen much of QAF, so I can't comment much in that regard. How long is it? I am very busy right now, but things calm down a bit midweek.

Icon love. ^^ No worries on lack of familiarity with QAF; I really just want an opinion on the Canada part. ^^ It's 1,500 words right now, but should be wrapped up before 2k. So you think you'll have time?

P.S. THANK YOU!!
