Yet, as he tried to decipher the layers or meanings it could have he was distracted by thinking about what Sam had told him and asked

It always started the same way, finding himself in the same wood cabin he'd woken up in a couple of weeks ago but with a watery unreal feeling. The structure too polished from the inside, no smell of compote and the layered scent of unwashed bodies. No Dean staring back at him with undisguised mistrust. Just the cabin and dense, heavy silence

He looked around the wooden cabin with a somewhat puzzled expression. This was vastly different from the scenic lake he had been expecting. Yet, inside Dean's own head it was easy to find him.

Standing over him, he was rather surprised to see him tied up. Canting his head to the side he frowned slightly. "This is a... strange dream you're having."

That was surprising. He hadn't seen anyone in this dream before and considering the location, he would have expected the perpetually stoned version of the person who was currently standing over him.

Either it was actually Castiel, taking another of his damn spirit walks though Dean's head again or it was a bleed from another dream. Dean grunted quietly as he struggled against the ties, testing them. They had never loosened before, maybe they would now.

"You here to make it better or worse?"

"I am here to talk to you."

Castiel crouched down to be eye level with Dean. It didn't seem like he was going to get free and standing over him was uncomfortable.

"Now that you've realized this is a dream, you should be able to change things," he explained, "This is your mind, you have control here."
