[ooc: New verse with
agentangusyoung and

The door leading out was always closed and if he couldn't wake himself up soon enough, didn't get woken up by the alarm or Sam, eventually he'd start to hear the slow clomping of footsteps walking up to the door. A patient, unhurried walk that ended in a throb with every second step, always making the room seem to narrow and tighten around him. Growing smaller to suffocate him with nothing but the pinpoint of the door as his focus.
And while the dream always ended before anything else happened, the step-drag, step-drag sound wore him down, stayed with him during the day.
So looking around and realizing he was in the same position he always found himself in, on the floor and restrained, wasn't unusual. Almost expected, actually, since his dreams hadn't deviated much from this one since Zachariah had Back to the Futured him.

Standing over him, he was rather surprised to see him tied up. Canting his head to the side he frowned slightly. "This is a... strange dream you're having."

Either it was actually Castiel, taking another of his damn spirit walks though Dean's head again or it was a bleed from another dream. Dean grunted quietly as he struggled against the ties, testing them. They had never loosened before, maybe they would now.
"You here to make it better or worse?"

Castiel crouched down to be eye level with Dean. It didn't seem like he was going to get free and standing over him was uncomfortable.
"Now that you've realized this is a dream, you should be able to change things," he explained, "This is your mind, you have control here."

"You couldn't have done that two weeks ago?" He grumbled as he spread his arms a little, exasperated as the ropes fell around his waist in a heap.

He wasn't sure Dean would like his reasons for coming to visit now, but if they wanted to figure out what was going on in this town, he needed to be able to focus.
Reply
"And you got a reason now?" He asked as he moved around the table, taking a seat where the door was in his eyesight. There was no reason to be uncomfortable but he didn't like it being at his back.

It was clear he was frustrated, his frown got deeper. He wasn't used to this and wasn't sure how to broach the subject of why he couldn't focus. Talking to Dean was complicated sometimes.

"I think you overshot, dude. Maybe you should take your dream catcher and slide on into Sam's dreams, he's the next one over. Just y'know, cover your eyes, it wont scar you if you don't see anything."
Reply
"I am in the right dream. I came to talk to you, about you," he said. His plan to be gentle about bringing this up had gone out the window with some of his patience.
Reply
"What about me?" He asked slowly, hoping distantly that Castiel wasn't going to bring up... what had happened. Especially since he hadn't processed it yet, maybe had no intention of ever doing so.
Reply
"Your brother is... worried," he glanced away. "About what we did. He thinks that you will be hurt."
He paused for a moment.
"By me."
Reply
Recent problems, Jesse, none of it really pointed to Cas doing anything to hurt him. Unless, Sam and Cas knew something, found out something that the angels had planned for him that they hadn't shared yet? And Cas was, would be... involved? He should have listened more in the car.
"Dude, I already said I trusted you." Dean started tentatively, unsure if he was headed in the right direction. "You're not going to go all Judas on me, Sam's just being Sam."
Reply
"He's not worried about me betraying you. He's worried about me hurting you... emotionally."
Reply
Because that made even less sense.
Reply
"Your brother thinks you are... falling for me."
Possibly using Sam's word would make Dean understand.
