I am a social idiot - how do I get past this???

Darcy is an outgoing kid, or at least way more outgoing than me (which is not that hard to accomplish). I know she needs and enjoys more frequent interaction with kids her age on a regular basis. You are not Darcy, and Darcy is not you. While it is certainly natural to worry that your own issues could manifest in your daughter, nurture is only part of the equation. Your daughter's own nature will also play a role in how she develops and learns to handle social situations.

Di, Thanks for reminding me. Sometimes it's hard to look at the big picture when you get hung up on the little things. I've been under a bit o' stress lately with work - new desk, new bankers, lots of catch-up, more work, not getting home early enough to spend any time with Darcy. It's affecting my ability to be rational.
